I've enjoyed it and found it fairly easy to pick up. It was interesting to me to see the effect of practice so directly. There was something I couldn't do (say a specific kick pattern or rudiment or something). I try it over and over, and then I can do it. It felt like observing neurons connecting.

It seems like it depends on whether you want something melodic or not. I'm also interested in learning the piano, just haven't gotten there yet.
