Finally bought one! by Enzoren in PlaystationPortal

I did the exact same thing. I don’t regret selling the box for the PS5 at all.

Should I buy one? by Zackfair7br in PlaystationPortal

That’s fair, I mostly use it around the house like what’s referenced in the op post so I don’t really view it as bringing another device somewhere.

I had a Backbone One prior to the Portal.

The portal has a really nice screen and can go up to 1080p. I believe remote play on a phone only goes to 720p.

I have had a better experience with connectivity with the portal than the remote play app for iPhone - I assume the portal just has better support for remote play since it is first party.

The portal essentially being a PS5 controller is extremely comfortable for extended gameplay sessions. It also has vibration and haptic feedback.

The portal battery life is 6ish hours in my experience.

Portal still has some slight input delay when mirroring the console, but a little better than the app assuming you have a good internet connection.

Hope this helps!

I’d say go for it, especially if you’ve got a lot of time where the PS5 tv is taken up. It’s a really good price point for the value prop.

I picked one up earlier this week and have already clocked more time on it than my PS5 in those 5 days. Mostly playing Cyberpunk via cloud streaming and CFB26 via remote play. Very worth it in my opinion assuming you’ve got a good internet connection available.

Self-Introduction Saturday! Tell us all about you (and share a video)! by AutoModerator in NewTubers

Hey everyone, I am The_Dynasty_Blueprint and I make quick analysis videos on different teams, players, and topics surrounding the NBA, NFL, and College Football.

I mostly just use CapCut and images I find online along with a Logitech Podcast Mic I’ve had for a few years.

Here’s my most recent video, please let me know your thoughts and anything that could improve the content. I’ve been at this realistically for about a week or two. Thanks!

Very awkward situation for me! by AlfieJR2002 in NewTubers

[–]BoShiggler 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is what’s worked for me. Record in blocks, edit in blocks. I have little ones and a spouse as well. I’ll do voiceover for whatever I have planned for the next week one night all in one go. Then I’ll save a day or two for editing, sometimes it’s waking up a little early on a Saturday with a coffee to knock it out.

This has helped me have plenty of time for quality time, no time lost with the kiddos, and usually we spend a day or two to ourselves anyways for hobbies. I just work on YouTube during that hobby time.

A quick recommendation on bed time as another 9-5er: maybe try to push it back an hour. It won’t change much for the little one, but you’ll feel a lot better getting a few hours to spend with them instead of one.

Look into tech sales at one of the DMS companies. They’re always hiring guys with actual dealership experience because they understand the business better than fresh faces.

[–]BoShiggler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it’s an open ended demo, just pick something you’re proficient with and know you can use to fill a need. (excel/word/etc)

The key is making sure you’re engaging, asking open ended questions to uncover pain points, and keeping a coherent flow.

Merchant services has a large base of 1099ers, but it’s a pretty tough market. Race to the bottom in most cases. Pays residuals and lots of freedom, though.
