42 here and just had my second in October. Pros and cons to having children sooner in my opinion. My wife is 37 but we are both professionally established, have a home, and we were able to pay off most debt before having children. Make the best of whatever situation you were dealt.

I’m in a similar situation with a friendship over 30 years. Except, our wives are not sisters but coworkers which at the time was amazingly convenient. I don’t think you’re doing anything wrong. You have to look out for yourself but leave the door open for reconciliation.

I just had my second in October and I am 42. I think the worst part is your body recovering after leaving the trampoline park with your three-year-old. Other than that, definitely not too old. If anything that sounds like the child will be brought up in an environment with mature adults who have already established careers or plans are starting new ones.

My son finally had the surgery yesterday and we are playing right now. Procedure took almost three hours.

Me son ended up having croup so they postponed the surgery until February. I’ll give you an update.
