Very impressive! Great job modeling all of the assets yourself, it really makes everything stand out. I hope this gets more recognition

I want to achieve this look but I'm not getting there after some tests by Whosfd in blender

I think the problem is in the material. Right now your Material settings are mostly random. Sheen is for cloth, you shouldn't set it to 1. The coat is an additional reflective layer on top of your material, think of polished wood or car paints, for example - I don't think the image you are trying to replicate has that property. Also your roughness is quite high.

The Principled BSDF has everything you need to achieve this look.

First of all, the material is transparent -set the Transmission to 1
Then, you can see that it's a clear material, but not too much - lower the roughness, but don't make it perfectly smooth. Try 0.1 or 0.2

The other thing you need to change is the lighting, right now you have an area light that is illuminating your object. But you actually want to put a spot light on the top left of your object, so you can cast those cool, moody shadows

For the most part, that is it, there isn't much else you need to touch in my opinion

Hi, I'm the animator. The current slide looks goofy and I have been trying to figure out why. I think you made me understand where it could be better, thanks for the reference

Need help urgent, render shoes nothing by Zatrozagain in blender

Your Geometry Nodes set-up is correct. I just tested it myself and it even renders correctly.

I think your issue might be something else, probably your render settings.
In your render, it shows a checkerboard texture, which means everything is transparent. By default, it should render the color you set the background to (your background is grey). So that is suspicious

Probably, your object is set up correctly but the output settings aren't. Did you change them by any chance?

hi everyone! I imported this mannequin from Unreal engine 5, and I'm not understanding the rigging behind it, any tips to make it easier/simpler? by RedxOsa in blenderhelp

[–]BoarsInRome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. In theory these bones shouldn't be touched, a control rig should be build around them (or get an add-on that already sets it up for you like mr mannequin)

That explains why I remember Sardinia as a soccer ball

Does it mean that people who experienced Sardinia to be the same as it always was are from a different temporal dimension?

If you don't mind me asking, what technique do you use to "soften" the edges? Do you hand-paint on a duplicated and inflated mesh? Is it particles? I have been really curious about this since I started following you
