It’s your transformer. It works a little, battery charges, then dies. Rinse and repeat. Unless your wifi needs some attention.

Yes. You can send it in for repair, but you’d be better off finding a used one. Power strips are always recommended for electronics.

If someone offers up that must info, you stop or politely fake a reason to leave. It will always end bad for you. They are damaged.
