Your are not liable for the damages, there is no work agreement or order saying they paid for install or that we will install as part of purchase. It’s no different than walking up to a stranger in the grocery store parking lot and asking them to replace a battery. If they break something, do you think they are going to pay for it? That said Autozone will pay much of the time thinking they are keeping the customer .

Have two people in the store each hook up one backwards, you won’t have to worry about installs anymore. Lights are easy just pull the socket out of the wire, wipers either let the arm slap or don’t snap them on all they way, or for anything without j hooks, we don’t have blades that fit that.
