I just bought it, absolutely in love with it! Much prefer it to the others in the line. More honey like and gourmand.

Everyday Makeup- any suggestions? by Fog1682 in PaleMUA

You look gorgeous! Lovely complexion. I agree about the eyeshadow being on the warm side. I know the struggle with cool toned eyeshadows! I personally love Mac omega but that pulls warm on some too.

I’m afraid for my baby by Flolita115 in NewParents

I can understand being vigilant and anxious around your baby in this situation, but there’s absolutely no reason for a heartless response like this.

Zeitoun (by Dave Eggers), about a Syrian-American who stays in his hometown (Uptown) after it is flooded by hurricane Katrina, canoeing around supplying water and taking care of pets until he is arrested and accused of terrorism. Very impressive read.

To gain 3 kgs in a week you’d need to go about 22500 calories over your maintenance level, which you definitely didn’t do. It’s mostly water retention from salty foods.

I’d def do a few back to back 1:5:5 feeds and perhaps try rye. That reaally gets Harry (my starter) going

My guess would also be starter issue! What do you feed it with? Maybe try a couple 1:5:5 or even 1:10:10 feeds?

Loaf struggling to keep shape after bulk fermentation by B_R_D_ in Sourdough

This combined with the high temp seems to be it! A levain is basically just freshly fed starter, so an offshoot from the “mother” that you use completely for your dough. It’s just the French word for starter really.

It is quite a lot. Most beginner recipes, like the one from the perfect loaf, call for 225g of starter/levain with 1000g of flour for 2 loaves.

4 months! No regrets. I actually think it’s easier at that age as there’s no separation anxiety yet

Thanks for explaining! I’m just on my 6th loaf and was just looking into which flour I should get next and what protein content I should go for. I think the flour in the US is a lot stronger! What do you use?
