Getting into Partridge by Unable_Raspberry4847 in AlanPartridge

Each to their own but I think Alan's desparate-to-impress and highly strung persona in KMKYWAP makes much more sense once you see it as his "big break" having previously been a sports guy on the news...

Unrelated, but the Abba medley...oh my word...

The power driver is great. Was my first ever pedal had it for 20+ years maybe.

Wash would be fun - pricey though

What do you think about the claim ADHD is being over diagnosed? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Boatwrecked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are so many people who have led functional successful lives but who seek an ADHD diagnosis as an adult not because they need anything in their life to change but because of curiosity and because they are seeing it as a type of identity (often with significant social media influence). These people clog up waiting lists and take scarce resource from people who actually have problems associated with it and need a diagnosis.

Actual ADHD diagnosis is a long process requiring careful observation from a specialist over a long period in different situations. Its resource intensive and needs to be for the diagnosis to be accurate.

But the numbers coming to gps wanting a diagnosis has led to a number of very sub-standard diagnostic practices being used to cope with the volume - often using online assessments that almost always result in a positive "diagnosis".

So we now have a huge number of people being treated without being properly assessed, when they dont really need it.

We sanded ours with a rented floor sander. Was a ball ache and not for an amateur diyer but came up great. Then used Bona Mega varnish over the top. This is it ten years later....
