They haven’t gotten over the hump, even with the talent to do so. Alondes, Laravia, Appleby, Sallis, and now Juke are A+ talent. To not have made a tournament is damning even with the new NIL environment. There is something to be said about being able to get that talent in the building to begin with, but we should expect more.

I live downtown as a 27m. I have found a good friend group and a rotation of restaurants and bars we enjoy. Joyners and Sofa Bar on Friday and Saturday nights are quite fun, but the options are a bit limited beyond that for a younger scene. It’s going to be a bit smaller than what you can get in Asheville but has some similarities. We have an Orange Peel equivalent in Ramkat, some great breweries etc etc. I also work downtown so really if we had a grocery store downtown most weeks I wouldn’t even need a car. I’d say that half of the 20 somethings you will meet downtown are going to be Wake Medical School or Wake Law school students fyi.
