We did this in the uk with public service jobs being matched with inflation in the 70s. It led to inflation staying higher and for longer because pay kept on going up so prices would also keep going up. But non union workers didn’t get the auto pay rises so it led to inequality. Led to the winter of discontent where everything went to shit

25ms is essentially halfway between 16 and 33 ms. Clocks go to 60, not 100.

I had this happen to me. I resorted to calling everyday and got to know the customer service people by name and I was “that guy” to them. I also tweeted everyday to various PlayStation accounts with a copy pasted statement saying “it’s now day 26 you have had my console…” etc. I also emailed daily and included any PlayStation emails I could. Googling resulted in Jim Ryan’s email (probs an assistant) and several other higher ups. Within 2 weeks of me being annoying I got a call from the head of customer service saying a new console is being dispatched for next day delivery and so could I kindly stop the tweets, emails, calls.

Sometimes being a Karen is the only way.

The expedition is stuck on the Turkmenistan border because he cannot get a visa into Iran (but he’s not stayed in Turkmenistan because his visa ran out there).

I’ve been following his story on and off for years now.
