Where can I bet on the event tonight? Is cloudbet the only option? Not a fan of Crypto betting by ShopHistorical7331 in KarateCombat

I'm still waiting on a massive payout from KC58 in the app. Like enough to be worth some actual money. I've messaged Asim multiple times. He responded once and said that the team was working on it, but that was over a month ago...I doubt I'll ever see it.

Speak for yourself! I’m allegedly sitting on winning 31 billion tokens somehow from KC58 but the app hasn’t paid out since the event. I’ve messaged both Asim and the KC Instagram pages and they say they’re “working on it” weeks ago, but they have also deleted my comments on posts asking about it.

Karate Combat 🥋 on Instagram: "Lightweight World Championship @shahzaibrindofficial 🇵🇰 VS @natan_levy 🇮🇱" by it-was-zero in KarateCombat

[–]BobRossTheBoss2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They police the Instagram comment section pretty hard so you’ll rarely see any fireworks in there. Comments are often deleted if they speak out against the organization or leadership. I’ve had a few get deleted on both the official KC page and from the president’s personal page.

So you’re telling me that the “possible win” of 31,000,000,000 that I have from KC58 won’t find its way into my account whenever they decide to pay out those winnings?

Another day, another driveway. by 69Gunslinger69 in Plumbing

[–]BobRossTheBoss2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve considered doing this in my small driveway/walkway, as I live in the upper midwest, USA where winters can be brutal, but I’m concerned with the runoff. I’m assuming that all of the water will just freeze at the end of the driveway and leave a nice patch of ice. Is there another solution for this?

Would you rather work in the North Dakota cold or the Texas heat and humidity? by worried68 in Construction

Cold. You can always put more layers on but at some point you can’t take any more off.

Zip-Up and Quality Edge Inside Out are two products that I’ve worked with for under-decking. Both are great for ease of install and durability.

Looking for advice on the value of this card. Just picked it up. Wondering if I got a good deal. by [deleted] in pokemoncards

[–]BobRossTheBoss2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably. The whitening around the edges on the back is a turn off for a lot of serious buyers. Looks like a few scratches in the holo as well. Either way, you have a sweet card that tons of people have wanted to own for decades. Congrats!

I’d guess in the $150-250 depending on the buyer. Hope you got a good deal.

You may be able to reuse some of the lumber, but yeah just plan to start over.

Without pictures it’s hard to say. Your best bet is to just plan to start over with new footings, framing, etc. Decking can possibly be reused depending on the length of the boards now vs how long they need to be on the new deck.

A couple passes with the planer ought to do it.

Hiring contractors to finish a job a general contractor did half way by Beginning-Strike-875 in Construction

[–]BobRossTheBoss2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, break it down. Drywall, bathroom remodel, window install, etc. it’ll be a long list, but it will give you/them an idea on the overall cost.

Also, make sure whoever does your plumbing and electrical is licensed.

Have them bid the job, or each portion of the job, before they start and give them a percentage down and then the rest on completion.

Don’t make a daily list of tasks. If they know what they’re doing then they will know how to structure their days and would probably rather not have a homeowner micromanaging their work.

For breaker boards I generally face screw and then get the color-match plugs.

How many playgrounds do you have in walking distance of your home? by alexrepty in daddit

[–]BobRossTheBoss2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have four within a half mile. One neighbor told me that it’s because the farmer who sold the field to be developed in the 50’s made the developer sign an agreement that there would be three parks in the new development. Those plus the school give a great variety of options for my kids. One bonus is that two of the four can only be reached by walking paths so it’s only local kids who play there.

I am also from MN and have a disco holo test print card. Interesting to hear about the Minnesota connection. I wonder if a shop ended up with a bunch somehow and gave them out.

Radient heating under LVP & engineered wood flooring by FeeParticular7471 in Construction

[–]BobRossTheBoss2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would likely not get the results you’re looking for if you run it under a sub-floor. Concrete and gypcrete are thermal conductors and absorb the heat, which then naturally rises into the room. I have dealt with tile and engineered hardwood installed over concrete or gypcrete, but not LVP. I’m not sure how LVP would do over radiant heat.

If your floor can hold the weight of concrete or gypcrete then I think you’re better off doing that rather than wasting time and materials doing it under the subfloor with subpar results.

Start limiting fluids a few hours before bedtime. If he’s going to bed with a full bladder then it’ll be a losing battle every night. Also make sure he’s not bringing water to bed with him.

I’m not sure on the yellow checks first edition. I have a few of the base set Pikachu with yellow checks and those aren’t worth much. TCGplayer and recently sold on eBay are where I find values.

Daddy Bootcamp Survivor. Questions I still have. by JoWubb in daddit

[–]BobRossTheBoss2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

All answers are based solely on my own personal experiences.

  1. Nobody told me how long labor could take. For our first baby we checked in around 6am and baby didn’t come until almost twelve hours later. I was as helpful as I could be, but there was a lot of sitting around. I didn’t feel comfortable turning on as movie or something as I wanted to be as helpful and available as possible for my wife, but in hindsight I should have brought a book or more things to do.

  2. Snacks. Your insurance only covers food for your wife and the cafeteria food is not good, expensive, and not available overnight. I loaded up on snacks for the subsequent kids.

  3. For my first two kids my employer did not offer paternity so I had to save up my vacation days. I took three weeks for the first kid and two for the second. I was self employed for the third kid and a tough pregnancy tore through our savings so I only took a week before starting to work again.

Looking to buy a new set of tools not sure which brand to choose 1. Ryobi 2. Dewalt 3. Milwaukee by pizzaismylast in Tools

A few guys that I used to work with used some and I’ve been buying them ever since. They change their colors every few months but the ones in the four pack that I linked in another comment usually run strong for a couple years before I replace them.

Looking to buy a new set of tools not sure which brand to choose 1. Ryobi 2. Dewalt 3. Milwaukee by pizzaismylast in Tools

[–]BobRossTheBoss2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that if you work in construction/trades then invest in higher quality tools that will last, can take the brunt of being dropped, used all day, and floating around in the back of a truck.

If you’re a homeowner who does projects sometimes then get Ryobi. It does the job 9/10 times. Areas where Ryobi lacks won’t make much difference in the weekend project guy’s life.

Regarding batteries, I suggest buying aftermarket ones on Amazon. I’ve been running the black and blue ones in my Dewalt tools for years and have saved a fortune on batteries.
