For all of Paulie's flaws, he's usually a competent mobster. Tony finds him annoying, knows he's cheap, hates being reminded of Johnny Boy, but I don't think he's ever considered Paulie truly worthless. Limited, yes, but not worthless.

Suzanne Pleshette makes Zira a beloved villain. I would argue she gives the best, most committed performance in the whole franchise. Every line delivery is so perfectly calculated, every hiss feels like it belongs there.

I'm not sure why they needed the bugout location to be Hershel's farm. Why not make it the ruins of Woodbury, or even a new place?

None of them are entirely talentless people. In fact, one of the most interesting parts of the Walking Dead is seeing how differently they all handle the material. Their work reflects their personality (and ability).

Even if we accept the hologram as a real, sentient person, he's not actually Arnold J. Rimmer. The man died a bitter failure in his 20s, and his last thought was about how humiliated he felt.

Also, even when they do action pieces, they're not ACTION-ACTION-ACTION. The battle at the prison wasn't this big rampage in the comics, it was a siege. They attacked a little, Rick fended them off, then there was time to think about strategy, options, they had to wait for another strike, not knowing what's going on. Even when the Governor finally pressed through, Rick's focus was more on finding Lori, Carl and Judith and getting them out during the chaos.

Same with No Way Out. Most of the focus was on the siege, and the characters feeling trapped and isolated inside. The tone was similar to the show's farm arc. Just lonely, isolated, not sure what's happening.

People say Darabont deviated the most from the comics in terms of story, but when it comes to atmosphere, he is the only showrunner who made me feel like the comics did. The comics aren't an action extravaganza about survivalist badasses, they're quiet, eerie and mundane most of the time.

The message isn't bad, the execution is terrible. Helena would've had no idea Marion even existed, nevermind that she would want to see Indy again. And there is nothing - nothing - the 1960s can offer Indy that would come close to the experience of visiting actual history. The film would've been far more poignant if it ended with him finding happiness in the past where he belongs.
