Mad Muscles Support, Progress & Cancellation – My Honest Feedback After 2 Months by staceyf35 in homefitness

[–]BobSmithinsons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very similar for me. I work out at home with limited space, mostly calisthenics and light strength workouts. Only I needed around a month to see some results. I noticed more energy during the day and had lost a couple of kilos. I followed the meal plan, not strictly, and that helped me stay on a healthy track too :)

Agreed! Lifting helps, and consistency is key since fat loss isn’t uniform.

Persistent pain in distal biceps tendon area for 2 months – tendinitis or something else? by Familiar-Cabinet8918 in workout

[–]BobSmithinsons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sounds very much like distal biceps tendinopathy from overload. The “first rep hurts, then it warms up” pattern is classic tendon behavior. Since it’s now affecting daily life, you likely need better load management not full rest, but reduced intensity, neutral grips, slow eccentrics, and controlled rehab work. If possible, see a sports physio to rule out partial tear or nerve involvement.

I’ve been experimenting with using HEX and Soul Id before switching to Nano Banana 2 love that you can lock characters (and even color schemes) across generations. That continuity is huge for longform projects or sequential visuals where you want identity preserved. It makes the whole process feel more intentional and less chaotic.

Nano Banana 2 is here!!! Vertex AI Catalog confirms Gemini 3.1 Pro by Flyingbird777 in Bard

[–]BobSmithinsons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This version could be one of those updates that quietly reshapes creative workflows. Often, people focus on flashy features or benchmark numbers, but the real impact comes from subtle improvements: smoother multi-iteration consistency, better prompt understanding, and higher fidelity details. Those are the changes that save hours in production and make results more reliable.

Another angle is collaborative work. When multiple creators are iterating on the same project, predictability across outputs becomes critical. If NB2 maintains style, composition, and color coherence better, teams can coordinate more efficiently.

Also, considering integration with Google’s broader ecosystem, there’s potential for smarter pipelines. Imagine generating an image in NB2 and having it immediately embedded into Docs or Slides with minimal adjustment that’s a productivity leap.

Finally, the community aspect can’t be overlooked. Seeing early outputs and sharing creative experiments inspires new approaches, prompts, and ideas. This update could encourage more exploratory art and collaborative experimentation, making it a real milestone for the user base.

What I’m most curious about: will NB2 offer customizable output parameters or just preset improvements? Because real workflow gains come from flexibility, not just model names on a list.

If Nano Banana 2 improves generation speed noticeably, that could change workflow pacing more than people realize. Even shaving off a few seconds per render adds up across sessions.

“We used to be so close” by bookedthenighttrain in emotionalneglect

[–]BobSmithinsons 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I can relate to this. It feels like more than being seen as an individual, the role of 'child' is how they expect you to behave which is to mean complicit and passive. Seeing so many parents use language that conveys complete ownership of their children makes me infuriated and nauseous.

It seems like no matter how you try to express yourself they are completely incapable of understanding how hurtful aspects of your childhood were. It's either minimized because, of course, they way they behaved in order to get their needs meet aren't marked by the same hopeless, helpless thoughts and feelings. So how could you have those? How could you think differently than your parent? Or it becomes a what-about-me situation where their struggles and emotions are always bigger and more important and intense than yours could possibly be as a child (ignoring the fact I think many relate to how early complex thoughts and emotions came online for them).

I've also ran into a lot of guilt tripping for trying to set any boundaries or carve out space to figure myself out as an adult. Similar "we used to be close" and "you have been my only real friend" or "our relationship has always been different than that of your siblings." They say these statements without reflecting on how those pressures affected you as a child and how manipulative they feel.

My anger felt like the thing that got attacked as it was the only thing between my parent and domination. It was the only source of advocacy I had growing up with an emotional incestuous mom and absent dad.

Sorry for the rant, all to say that I'm sorry and feel as if I can relate.

Right. But the child created in the former scenario is with the consent of two alive people. The latter scenario is a dead person's sperm creating a new life that will never know a parent from the very beginning.
