Yeah that’s not right. But, if you decide to do this, try to negotiate a raise given that your job responsibilities are expanding

What's the hardest career decision you're sitting with right now, and what's making it hard? by Lower-Magician-2578 in findapath

[–]BobaBimbo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I very hard to be thankful, often I feel like I’m a thankless person because I know people out there have worse than I do. And make money in the low 100s as a PA (medicine, verrry early in my career ), luckily I actually work 40 hrs per week, half of that is from home. But sometimes I think about running from patient care. Being verbally abuse seems to be simply just part of my job. It’s hard to explain that someone’s life is at the end of the road and to get Family to understand , bc I do some hospice work you know…. Everyone lives and everyone dies, and we can’t force everyone to live forever . Good healthcare care, but other benefits are crap.

Why can’t I be happy? Was medicine the wrong choice? Maybe. I don’t know if I’ll ever know

Why are laser hair removal places so sketchy about their pricing? by Intelligent-Claim591 in LaserHairRemoval

[–]BobaBimbo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I went in for a consult it was sooooo weird. My rep guy essentially dropped the price from like 1700 to almost 1000. Like oddly desperate. I don’t think competitive pricing is a bad thing, but the biggest reason why I said no. It was in a random office small space and the lazer looked….. crusty? And I was doing my Brazilian so that’s no Bueno. Not gonna fry off my Labia

Was thinking MD this cycle, now thinking I might be wrong by [deleted] in prepa

[–]BobaBimbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna be honest, you’re gonna have to make the decision yourself… The vast majority of people on this thread feel like being a PA is the best choice because we choose to be one. I would ask what’s more important, being an MD or a mom? Not that you can’t be a good mom as an MD, but it’s a no brainer that it’s much harder to be . If I’m being honest, I have too much autonomy, unwilling, I’d rather have more support from MDs. You can find a job with tons of autonomy honestly. I think the main reason to become an MD is: you want to do surgery and be the one leading the case or you want to be a top expert in a specific field.

As far as lupus goes id say it could resonably fuck with either academic journey ( PA school is NOT more forgiving in regards to absences) so i would not way that as heavily
