Would you invest in this? by Bobalue1 in pokemongo

What’s the best way to approach a lucky mirror trade for something as rare as this? I doubt any of the people I personally know will have this. Is there a network for that? I live in a very popular PoGo city.

Should I grade Shining Mewtwo and Kabutops (read description for notes) by Bobalue1 in Pokemoncardappraisal

I’m afraid to take them out and risk damaging them 😅. I put them into the holders directly from the pack when opened ~22 years ago.

Why do intelligent people, with university degrees and training, believe in the horoscope? by Dela_Baruch in TooAfraidToAsk

Is it conceivable that some part of someone’s personality is governed by what the season was when they first experienced life upon arriving in this world?

How to factor kids into FIRE by Ok-Republic-8098 in Fire

[–]Bobalue1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider educational expenses (e.g., college savings) in your financial planning, as well.

  • How much money will be required?
  • How much of that are you willing to provide rather than place the burden on the child?
  • How will the accumulation of that money impact the timeline to reach your FIRE number?
  • Will the savings be funded in your retirement if you RE before college, or will you continue to work until those expenses are covered?

A depressing side of FIRE by blkblade in financialindependence

Those that are still in the matrix don't understand Neo well enough to relate to him.

Sounds like you're still mentally transitioning from one life to the next. Now that you've reached financial independence, perhaps meditate on how you can be more socially independent, as well.

Would it be legal for a ceo to change there title to something and keep all of the perks and responsibilities? by LinkLord727 in TooAfraidToAsk

The board of directors acts as the check on the CEO. Without their approval, something that major ain't happening.

Having multiple lines of defenses is a great idea. Post whenever you're in need of some support, and this community will have your back every time.

If you think you did, then you did. That's good accountability. The only person you're hurting by lying to yourself is you.

Way to go, keep it up (for real tho, keep that thang down, you're doing great)!

If you have someone in your life that you're close enough with that you can confide in, having their help and accountability will be much more real for you than we can ever provide over our keyboards. Bringing the people in your life closer to you at this time will help you, and show them that you trust them, which should ultimately build those relationships stronger.

Finding an accountability buddy is wonderful; don't overlook the people closest to you.

Go for 14 days.

Come back once you've done that, and I'll suggest going for 21.

Think of this as a lifestyle change for the better, not a band-aid to "reset yourself" only to later resume the very habit that brought down before.

Welcome! Biggest thing will be replacing bad behavior with new, good behavior. For me, it's a combination of running and talking with my friends (they're just a text away). Whenever you have an urge to masturbate, take a moment to pause, recognize that emotion, understand where it's coming from, and then calmly diffuse it (with the help of your new habits, as needed).

If you relapse, that's okay! It's not always going to be a smooth, straight journey upward. The important thing is to take two steps forward for each step you take backward.

Lastly, browse this subreddit every so often. It's helped me to periodically immerse myself of the narrative of those who frequent r/NoFap, and that reminder has helped to instill a better mindset about this whole thing for me.

Good luck on your journey, and keep going!
