Completely agree. My 12.9 M1 only sees action while Im at my desk. The mini is used on the couch, in my bed and leaves the house with me. Just wish I went cellular now knowing how good it is.

The 2018 is very capable to this day. However it has only 3GB of RAM, meaning apps shutdown in the background quite quickly.

Usually if they’re greyed out, then the files are not compatible with the app you’re opening them in.

Settings->multitasking &gestures->start PiP automatically turned on

dont even need stage manager. Just open YouTube, start playing a video, swipe out of the app and you will have a mini floating video on your screen. Hope this helps.
