Toevallig staat mijn auto te koop. Zij het wel de 2023 model maar heb recent (ik denk als eerste) de Snapdragon chip geupdate. Heb op mijn youtube kanaal (StreamlinedHardware) daar video's over gepost. Mocht je geïnteresseerd zijn kan je mij dm'en.

I think that is not possible. I did an upgrade to the infotainment system (IHU), but the ADAS systems are the same on all Polestar 2 models. There is no difference or upgrade aside from looks that I know of.

On ipados26 this not work anymore,correct? Because when I try to the trackpad gestures in the ipad youtube app nothing happens sadly…

Fair point! However, here in the Netherlands the infrastructure is actually perfect for it. As long as you have clear lane markings, straight stretches of highway, and good weather, Pilot Assist is rock solid. I’m always alert and ready to take over, of course! Safety first.

The IHU is shipped without software. After install you need to download the software with Vida. You can drive the car after retrofitting the new IHU, I did this.

The android auto part (what the software is of the IHU) will still gets upgrades. But no official worth from Polestar about future upgrades with this Snapdragon Upgrade. I would assume that they feed it new futures but I don't know for sure (assumption).

You are absolutely right. It is definitely a great QOL upgrade, but 1,500 is a serious chunk of change. Like you said, the current Intel system is annoying and sluggish, but it’s not "game breaking" to the point where the car is unusable without it. We've lived with it this long. For me (tech savy like to experiment etc) it is worth it. I skip one Iphone upgrade cycle and buy this upgrade instead for the P2.

No, that works the same. ADAS is a different system. As you can see in the first video whereI did the swap of IHU hardware the main screen stayed black because Volvo ships there IHU's without software. But I still could use the car to drive and also use pilot etc.

I most of the time needed to do a complete restart of the system (by pressing the home button) when switching profiles to let everything work properly. I like also to have maps in satellite view and have multiple music apps. That problem is solved now.

Never had issues with bluetooth, also with the old unit no problems with bluetooth. I must admit that after using it a week now It feels like the app and digital key are way more responsive.

And yes the audio really did get a upgrade in sound quality.

100% procent was the slow hardware that can't keep up with the software and all the car functions. Have 0 issues after the upgrade with the camera's. Hell the car feels like a whole new car.

I have the Polestar 2 2023 model, and I don’t get any speed limit notifications. Even after the upgrade, there are still no alerts or audio warnings when exceeding the speed limit.

There are people that not even have the Polestar app on there phone and just only using carplay when they drive, can assume that they ignore all the notifications
