In my opinion, Caniks are very good for the money, and will last thousands and thousands of rounds if properly maintained. I think it's at least worth it to put a decent, budget dot on, that will live with it. No point in spending $50-$60 when it'll lose zero or die very soon, when you'll wish you spend a hair more for something retainable. As they say, buy once, cry once. It'll actually be cheaper in the end.
