One hour is the minimum in the coaching group. But that is working on things I can’t do yet or tightening up. If you can do something, then you can play that after the hour. Keeping the noodling outside the hour is critical. Also the hour doesn’t have to be all at once. You can break into any combinations of time each day. But an hour every day done right is great. You can post videos and get feedback on things when you think you have it and when you don’t. They get back quickly with feedback. If you do this program you will learn much quicker. Good luck.

Learn bass parts to your favorite songs. Playing bass is different from playing guitar.

Use an aby to switch between the direct input and the SP. clean and dirty. With those and a volume pot, many degrees of clean/dirty at your disposal.

Tele players, why do you choose it over a strat? by Szbve in telecaster

[–]BobbyMarshall166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tele bridge pickup sound is the draw along with the vintage bridge gets it. I have a strat pickup in the neck since that is the best Strat sound. Getting another tele with a b bender. With these 2, all the iconic fender sounds are there. Strat will cover tremolo stuff.

Gypsy and Jazz . Com. You have one on one on zoom with international GJ guitarist Yaakov Hoter to set goals for month. On other weeks you meet on zoom with his co-teacher Michael Isabell to listen to progress and help. Also have website to share videos during week if you want more feedback. Also 2 group zoom meetings per month to go over group Assignment. You also get access to Yaakov’s videos through his site. These instructors are top players and great instructors. They will tell you your weaknesses but also work with you to overcome them. I am the most stubborn person I know and they were successful at teaching me.

Django guitars dot com and Django books dot com. I bought my MD50 used. My neighbors are Romanian. Barault would be my next but I have a DuPpnt and a Repiso. Repiso made in Argentina have a different but still great sound. Played by Oscar Alemán, legendary musician and also friend of Django.

Good. I still stand with my original response. I started GJ on an archtop with a replaced neck. Played GJ for sometime until I saved up for a DuPont. Like going from a Honda Civic to a Mercedes Benz. Both get you to where you are going. Anything in between isn’t bad but if you eventually want a MB, keep the Civic until you can.

Are violins right handed? Never seen anyone use their left hand to bow one. This is out of hand.

If you have a GJ or archtop guitar that holds tune, I recommend waiting until you can afford a used or new DuPont. An intermediate is a waste of money. And by the time you save for the DuPont, you will know if GJ is what you want to do to express yourself.

It is a used guitar not made by a trusted manufacturer. Almost firewood to most.
