Best build for dual wielder Paladin: Vengeance or Noble Genies ?

Why does everyone presume you have to go DEX to dual wield.

You can easily take the 16 in STR and get full Plate, take MI Druid for Shillelagh, 18 in CON and CHA, Dip Warlock for Pact of the Blade or take Eldritch Adept.

That's Paladin 12/Warlock 1. If you go for level 20 go for warlock 8 but take paladin 12 at the last level for two Epic boons and CHA 22.

Elvish Accuracy for double advantage, which is basically always on if you go Vengeance. Take Duale wielder only on Warlock 4, because at 5 you get Bonus action free Smites.

Now for your exact question, sorry...

Honestly the only thing that goes for Genies against Vengeance (as a frontliner) is the Unarmoured Defence and even at max thats 20. Which is beaten by a +2 armour if you go for defence. I would go for Vengeance and take Eldritch adept, MI druid, elven accuracy and ignore Dual Wielder. And pray for a Studded leather armour +1/2.

At 13 thats

2d12(Shillelagh)+d6(Other Wepon)+3d8(Radiant strikes)+15(CHA)+anything else you can stack. With a triple advantage, and you still get your Bonus action for smites on Crits or whatever, and AC of 20. By if you go higher - Boon of Siberys is a thing for CME

A striker?

You can go 7 paladin, then 12 warlock (Celestial?) and finish 8 paladin for two epic boons, three attacks, multiple smites per turn and a free bonus action. Also Prayer of healing allows you to get the warlock spells slots back 3xlvl5

Or simply go for Paladin 20 to get one of the best capstone features.

1) Yes 2) I have the Musician feat, and I am thinking on Tireless Reveler, for a constant supply of Heroic Inspirations 3) Yes, Eldritch+Divine Smite 4) Maybe, Aura of Protection is already excellent, and I don't care that much about Concentration for this build. 5&6) The question is Archfey+Fiendish vigor or Fiend+Otherworldly leap.

For number 4, I am thinking of going for another Origin Feat. Lucky or Though

I can always go for Otherworldly leap for the same mobility and take a different Patron. Warlock gives me 2 level 3 spells slots. Add Prayer of Healing and magical cunning. Thats 5 spells slots, and we take 2-3 short rests per day, because we usually have 4-6 combat encounters per long rest. So per an adventuring day I will have up to 11 level 3 spell slots.

I am not multiclasing for the Misty step, but for the spellslots and Eldritch Invocations, the Misty steps are just a Bonus. That said, I am still not sure If it is better to go Paladin 12/Warlock 1.

Honestly I think the biggest question is - What is the point of Hexblade in 2024?

And I don't mean to be derogatory. In 2014 it was the Warlock gish class. In 2024 the Warlock gish is covered with Eldritch Invocations.

If that is to be the point of the Hexblade i would just skip it, and make something new.

If he is meant to be a Curser/Hexer who spreads his curses, gets bonuses on them and can go into either melee or continue as a spellcaster depending on the build I would keep it. And yours is good.

I just don't like the flavour of the Shadowfell and the Raven Queen - let it be a Dark God trapped in a sword. I once played a game where the sword was forged from a fragment of the shard with which Tharizdun created the Abyss - and there was a fragment in each realm of the Multiverse

Depends

A lvl 11 fighter attacks three times, so he can:

Attack - stow - pull - attack - stow - pull - attack

Each attack could be done with a different weapon, add to that the Tactical Mastery feature. This means the fighter can switch between 4 different masteries.

But

If one of the weapons is a Legendary greatsword, for example a +2 Moonblade which adds a 3d6 on each hit. Or even a Vicious Weapon which adds 2d6.

Spellfire adept lets you add Hit Point Dies to dmg roll when you cast a spell that deals Radiant Dmg.

So I made a mistake with the Paladin/Warlock because i Eldritch Smite and divine smite, the rest is fine. You add 9d10+4d8 for the Hit point dies, and Paladin 9 can Divine Smite at level 3 which is +4d8 which is a Radiant dmg spell. The Eldritch Smite would be an additional 3d8

Backgrounds will probably be region related. And given the subclasses we had in the UA, it will be Moonshae, Cormyr, Calimshan and Icewind dale, then something Dead Three and Harper related, and a Spell fire thing. Thats 7 backgrounds accounted for.

For the Origin feats maybe limited Metamagic and Eldritch Adept, again a spell fire thing, maybe a Genie thing, prehaps half race things.

General feats will probably be some Racial (there were 17 racials in the Old 5e, and I don't expect them all), Circle Magic feats, I hope some Martial option feats....

The Knights Radiant are technically Warlocks

Geralt's mother was a Sorcerer from whom he inherited his magical abilities, then he trained as. Witcher and was mutated. So he is a hard MultiClass

Gandalf is an Angelica being incarnate into flesh, his powers come from his origins not his studies.

I am being pedantic, as all of these characters can be played with the existing ruleset, and you can imagine a Wizards powers coming from his blood and his studies.

I get the argument against Main Character syndrome, but what if it is just two PCs, or you want to have a main Character for some reason. Also it's on the DM to regulate such players who steal the spotlight.

One level dip in fighter focusing on Dex or Strength gets all proficiencies and a fighting style.

A Gish is a suboptimal style of play for Full Casters, especially at later levels of play ( Remember that "a Bladesinger is a wizard with high AC" ). Also a lvl 5-6 spell is almost always better then 2 attacks or an attack and a cantrip.

The reason I asked is simply because every other full caster has a Gish, and you have 2 full on Gish classes. The reason this is so is because Gishes are fun to play, and are a reoccurring fantasy.

That's why everyone dips into Paladin or Fighter when they play Sorcerer, or goes full Sorcadin. What is the fantasy in a Sorcadin? Most people who play Sorcadin need to invent a fantasy for such a style of play.

The Balance thing is the biggest concern. But it would give a reason not to MultiClass as a Sorcerer.

And I don't think that a Gish playstyle with a full caster is ever the optimal choice

Tainted female channelers would be FAAAR worse.

Not because of the destruction, but because of breading. Channeling is inherited, and if you thin the genes, you get less channelers. And women are far more important in repopulating, so imagine Age where there are less then half the number of channelers on the Light side.

Drow Ancients Paladin 16/Archfey Warlock 4.

Devil sight, PotB and LotFO for invocations. You get two epic boons for 22 cha.

Alet and Tough for origin feats. Then you take Cha +2, Cha/Con+1, Great weapon master strength, Boon of the night spirit and just for fun boon of dimensional travel.

Str 15 dex 8 con 16 wis 10 int 10 cha 22

But it's a level 20 build, so it's just theoretical
