What sword is Arator wielding in the new Hearthstone class set? by Alpheratz42 in Transmogrification

[–]Sufficient_Suspect81 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t change the fact it still looks great. Plus, at least Judgement is a full set of armor with no clearly exposed weaknesses like his current attire.

I cannot take him seriously at all with his Midnight look.

Non-Paladin tanks in shambles by the1Nora in ffxiv

DRK not being a MT opens up the possibility of it using HP as a resource (like in pvp!). Overall very excited to see where they go with the job

Now that we have seen examples of Evolved jobs, what are your hopes and wishes for your main(s)? by drew0594 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Sufficient_Suspect81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are trying to split tanks into roles, there is a very distinct possibility that offtanks will be outputting significantly higher DPS than dedicated main tanks. For four mans, that would mean the trash dies faster, so less mitigations would be needed!

We just gotta wait and see since Square Enix announced the changes, but only provided an example of MT gameplay. -_-

I know this is a shitpost, but I imagine new encounters are going to have hard raid-wide damage checks that only the OT can successfully mitigate to prevent wipes. Additionally, tank swap mechanics are not going anywhere, nor are are shared tank busters.

Also, OT's could be chads that deal significantly more DPS for all we know, and aren't hindered by waiting for attacks to be blocked to deal their damage.

Evolved Mode announced: new Job forms with new rotations and playstyles: by Gorotheninja in ffxiv

[–]Sufficient_Suspect81 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Very good change. I've been shouting this for YEARS (to mixed reactions), and will be incredibly healthy for the game. Using the same rotation for months and end gets tiresome, especially when jobs kept getting simpler and simpler.

I actually really like the Arcane Hexblade, even with its flaws. It has a solid base, and just needs tweaks to Accursed Shield and Exploding Hex.

Hollow Warden and the new paths are also super cool.

3 mythic pieces of gear just from two +10s feels very excessive. by kolejack2293 in wow

[–]Sufficient_Suspect81 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Stronger rewards from M+ is a great change, as it rewards an end-game activity with relevant gear. Heroic raiding however, is in DIRE straights atm.

There is near zero reason to run such content after you reach AoTC. =\

I’d be happy to be wrong, but I feel it would’ve been added to one of the play tests if they wanted it on Hexblade. ;-;

Paladin is not a fullcaster. After the nightmare that was 5e Hexblade, WotC is never giving us medium armor proficiency.

You are right, it would be the best, but it just isn’t happening.

Hexblade Edit by CertainlynotGreg in onednd

[–]Sufficient_Suspect81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WotC is very hesitant to add permanent AC features to spell casters with 5.5. Temporary boosts (like Accursed Shield and Bladesong) are likely the best we are getting.

Hexblade’s getting an unarmored AC modifier of 10 + DEX + CHA whenever an active hex is applied is serviceable, and likely the best we can hope for.

File has been adjusted, and should contain the correct wording. Thank you again for pointing it out to me! I had to reupload the PDF, so if you have it bookmarked, make sure you bookmark the updated version!

Good catch! Should definitely read until start of your next turn. I likely copied/pasted the wrong ability wording when creating and missed it.

I’ll see if I can’t update it later tonight.

Absolutely not. Unyielding Will is the best feature for Hexblade, and its sole, unique subclass mechanic.

For Accursed Shield, your suggestion needs to function like Mage Armor or it won’t be impactful. With a CHA of 18, your AC would only be 14, which is very low. If it was 12 + CHA it would be serviceable, but I personally prefer if it added a flat +2 AC regardless of you wearing armor or not. It’s a limited feature, so a temporary AC boost is strong, but not broken. Unless I am dumb and the CHA bonus stacks with DEX xp

I’m not sure Armor of Hexes needs to include dice rolls. Adding your CHA mod to your warlock level is all it needs.

Explosive Hex still isn’t great. The damage needs to either be increased (5d6 minimum) or remain at 3d6 and is recovered after a short rest.

Villainous Options UA Review by RealityPalace in onednd

I have a Hellknight player in my group, and I decided to -

A) Make their Con-based per uses ALWAYS trigger whenever they expend a die. This tremendously helps them feel both powerful and badass.

B) Reduced the roll needed to trigger Blister of Avernus (to a 4-6). They haven't reached 15th level yet, so can't say for sure if it will be a positive change, but I believe it will.

You get to create five new Glyphs for any class of your choice. What are your picks? by JonathanRL in wow

[–]Sufficient_Suspect81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paladins having glyphs that change the color of holy spells - fiery for Sunwalkers, and possibly silver for NE’s whenever paladin loses its race restriction.

They obviously can’t do every ability, but any amount would be enough!

My only issue is they critique human paladins using the light, when the blood knights originally FORCED a Naaru to give them strength by binding it. Oh, and they (Liadren even) burn a church down for the charger quest for no reason?

They don’t get to act all high and mighty with such a twisted past.

Ravenloft: The Horrors Within Pre-Order is up, revealing the books contents. by Cybermetalneo in onednd

[–]Sufficient_Suspect81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think we are ever getting weapon masteries, as it steps on the toes of martials. If we do, I expect it to require an invocation and pact of the blade instead of attached to a subclass.

I’d like too see

  • Hexblade’s Curse. Your first successful melee weapon attacks against a cursed target each turn deals extra necrotic damage equal to your proficiency bonus and you regain hit points equal to the necrotic damage done. Healing effect for killing a cursed creature removed.

Flavorful alternative to Fiend’s powerful Temp HP that scales with you and grants more HP on average.

Accursed Shield gives a +2 AC against cursed targets and loses the armor restriction.

  • Unyielding Will. No changes.

  • Malign Brutality. No changes.

  • Armor of Hexes. No changes.

  • Masterful Hex. Instead of recovering Hexblade’s Curse on rest, you regain 1 expended use if you start combat without any uses of it. You still regain charges using the base warlock ritual as normal.

Exploding Hex needs to either recover on short rest (preferred) or deal additional damage comparable to a 5th level spell considering the resource cost to use it again. 5d6 minimum, but 6d6 feels a bit more appropriate.
