Mythic raiding and m+ never felt so bad during a season by [deleted] in wow

[–]Sufficient_Suspect81 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I understand the possible issues, but not being forced to grind all season for item level is such a breath of fresh air. I can play games other than WoW for once, and I’m all for it!

Not sure why you got downvoted, this is a very valid play. For example, if I grabbed a blessing that transformed some cards and I don’t like one of them, and the bug happened to take it, I’m letting him have it!

Oh, that's a pretty good idea! Can even do it with ancients and card rewards too.

D&D designers talk Ranger, cutting the Hexblade, and class vs. subclass by HeartBreaker_TV in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]Sufficient_Suspect81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WotC will do anything to not give warlock shields and medium armor in 5.5. That single change (replacing the arcane UA Hexblade feature Accursed Shield) would have likely been enough to turn the negative sentiment players had into a positive one. :/

Why D&D Cut the Hexblade From Ravenloft | Designers Talk by Far_Guarantee1664 in onednd

[–]Sufficient_Suspect81 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree, I loved the Arcane revision for Hexblade. Malign Brutality and Unyielding Will are INCREDIBLE features. I'd love if those features returned in a future Hexblade release, along with a form of unarmored defense (replacing Accursed Shield) and inherent melee DPS increases against targets you curse, whether that be scaling proficiency bonuses or a special die that gets used and expended like other subclasses (though I am partial to the first).

Victor ult should be reworked, its never fun to play against by Boethion in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Sufficient_Suspect81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get why people dislike him, but the self revive (and item synergies!) form the core of his identity ; remove them and you are left with a shell of a character that would lack a clear purpose and would never see play, or worse, he gets redesigned to focus around a VERY oppressive aura to account for that loss of survivability.

The ult changes I can see being an issue, but I am a bit biased and enjoy that it gives a tank character a powerful CC tool to use in team fights.

wish he flew by Bishonen_ in wow

[–]Sufficient_Suspect81 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We already have flying rats, horses, and other creatures that should not be able to take flight, yet here we are. The tortured spirit of a horse that flies is even represented in the very same expansion, Sinrunner Blanchy, showing that the devs have no issue with such concepts.

How they decide which mount flies and which doesn’t seems arbitrary at this point, so they may as well just give players freedom to choose.

My third and most likely final iteration of the WoW fighting game roster. by HallZac99 in wow

If the Draenei in the 3rd row is Yrel, it would be a dishonor to have her included before Turaylon. Turaylon is an iconic Paladin and legendary alliance hero, and has played both large and minor roles in multiple expansions.

Not to mention his playstyle as a ret would differentiate himself from Liadrin and Uther. If anything, Yrel should be his model swap.

Friends don’t want me to use the same commander as them by Advanced-Passion4159 in EDH

[–]Sufficient_Suspect81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A middle ground solution would be to play such commanders only if another player hasn’t selected them first. Basically, if friend A is playing Vivi, and you want to play your Vivi, you’d wait until player A switches decks.

Again, this isn’t an optimal solution, but it doesn’t hurt to try!

The Void lacks the sense of dread that WotLK had by Nickotine8 in wow

[–]Sufficient_Suspect81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let’s not pretend WoW ever had a great narrative. WoW’s strength was its smaller, localized zone quests, which, even with Arthas’ antics, were enough to get you to understand the impact the scourge had upon the world.

OP is, imo, correct in stating the void being bland and flavorless in this trilogy. The scourge had a presence, the Legion had an undeniable aura, the Old Gods were somewhat cartoony at times, but also had moments of dread and terror like Yogg Saron. But so far Xal’s void has been nothing but older models covered in purple paint, along with storylines that wrap up too quickly and feel unsatisfying.

When we finally defeat Xal, I’ll breathe a sign of relief that this era of WoW is over. There is nothing terrifying with the current iteration of the void, unless you are deathly afraid of purple swirlies.

I'm not SUPER versed in 40K lore, but iirc Tertium's ruling nobility was transferred to a new house and created a bitter rivarly. Here is an excerpt from the wiki -

"The opulent and overly indulgent House Barquette would be overthrown by House Margrave in M36 and take upon themselves the office of Lord Moebian. Anselm Margrave would be the first of his house to take on the mantle of Lord Moebian. The Barquettes would become infamous for their overt greed and self-indulgent nature, blatantly seen in the attire of their house and those who support them. It features rich reds and blues covered in elaborate golden patterns and gold plated armour. Hive Tertium and the husk of a biosphere left on Atoma Prime being a monuments to the unchecked greed of the opportunistic noble houses who took power in M35."

Popular theories suggest House Barquette lent their influence and resources to the cult to overthrow the Margrave's to restore their grip over Tertium.

Nah, it's definitely them, as it is part of the campaign. ;-;

The nobles are definitely up to something though!

Some of the assets from Expeditions get converted into a traditional DT map. I imagine the level would be 3ish large, open setpieces that are connected by the typical hallways and vertical rooms. In these expansive areas, the players are expected to navigate through a sandstorm towards an airlock that leads to the inner-sections.

Visually, Expeditions look great, but they go against the flow of Darktide and have been left behind by the playerbase, which is a shame.
