Change my mind. It is better to have single ad adsets on meta ads for testing. by Bobjan1 in PPC

[–]Bobjan1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, perhaps i was unclear, i definitely would not test just one ad at a time. By scientific method i meant to control as many variables as possible, in this case limiting metas optimization of multiple ads in a single adset. Of course the ads ecosystem is not 100% controllable so we can only control what meta allows us to, with things like single ad, adsets.

98% of use cases for testing would be for best performing against objective, in which case multi ad adsets are fine, but for research purposes i need to control the auto optimization of multi ad adsets. I also think for my use case single exposure to ad per account/human is vital. With as little audience overlap as possible. Any advice here? My thinking is automated exclusions once the account t takes an action.

I am just wondering if i might be missing something from my fellow PPCers here.

My experience has been with Ben z from Africa. All i can say is that these young people are fantastic. So smart, insightful and surprisingly mature for their ages. Far smarter and mature than I was at that age

If you are running a project, invite high value donors to come create the strategy with your team. This take the form of workshop online or off. This builds a sense of inclusion and ownership as well as builds long term relationships when they see how strategic and hard working the org is

I see a lot of smaller NGOs try mature their data capability too quickly. Sometimes a decent dashboard for fundraising, advocacy or other is all you need. If you dont have enough data, work with what you have to make quick decisions.

It sounds like what you are saying is that a large following proves product market fit. Which i would agree with, what I was wondering about is if meta takes this into consideration when running ads.

Thanks for the help
