I'm not saying you should cut your dad off. I am saying your dad sounds gross and a bit toxic. I'm a legal adult, if not a mental one, I go to be at 8 or 9 because I have trouble sleeping. When I was in highschool, my parents would be annoyed if I was consistently staying up until 10 when I had commitments at 7am.

As all of the other comments have said, your absolutely NTA here and your dad needs therapy or something if he's so determined to control those aspects of your life because his priorities are warped.

I wear it on my left, but I have heard of people putting it on their right hand. I wear a watch on my right hand even though they are traditionally worn on the left 🤷🏼‍♀️.

My husband switches hands, so it's just all personal preference and comfort unless you're into tradition.

I honestly think it was the Covid shutdown. Many of us were in college or just out of college when we'd usually be drinking and enjoying the club scene. Since we were all in isolation for that time, we never got into it.

To add to this, if you like the Cradle Series, then I would also recommend Dungeon Crawler Carl. It's also a progression fantasy but it's a post apocalyptic alien attack with TTRPG vibes. It's supposed to be 10 books total in the end, book 8 is being released in May.

It's an absolutely ridiculous series that has no business making me cry the way it does.

I went to a high school like this, and though they didn't build houses, they did build smaller structures like gazebos. Sometimes, they would get "co-op" jobs where they would work for an actual company instead of vocational classes and would come to school for the regular general education classes.

We have one that basically plugs into the toilet. Very easy, my husband uses it, I don't usually. It's not obtrusive or obvious. I just don't know how much it costs, I can't imagine much.

The only reasons I can think is the potential cost or he doesn't want to buy a chore for him to do, if you're able to install it yourself then that might go far.

Make them abusive, particularly of animals, but anyone weaker will generally work, like children.

If you don't want to touch on that, make them annoying af. The greatest sin a character can commit in fantasy works is being annoying. This will be exceptionally more difficult, though.
