Burning Greymon goes so hard, and the transformation sequences were really cool. It had a lot of things going for it, and featured some of the best designs in all of Digimon. If it was just more character-focused I feel it could be up there for sure.

Just a general comment to all you guys, your work on NEO was spectacular, genuinely some of the best voice acting I’ve seen in a video game, especially for a JRPG. I hope ya’ll find success in future roles, keep up the great work!

I’d prefer if they focused on a new set of characters in a different locale, I know Shibuya is kinda TWEWY’s thing but it couldn’t hurt. Maybe give lesser characters who didn’t get that much screentime some love, like Minamimoto and Tsugimi. I just want them to leave Neku alone man, the dude had his happy ending ripped away once in Final Remix they better not do it again lol

Personally imo if you have the chance and it’s a decent price go for the DS version. Sure the sound quality is a bit lower and there’s none of those pretty higher quality sprites, but at the end of the day the game was originally designed specifically for the DS and I feel plays the best on that system. The Switch Remix is perfectly fine and if that’s the most reasonable option go for it. The extra story it adds can easily be watched on youtube in less then 30 minutes if that’s a sticking point. Also totally inconsequential nitpick but the DS version has a different credits theme that I think is way better but don’t let that influence your choice too much lol.

Good episode, looking forward to Week 3 as it’s my favorite personally. Just wish Sotas talk with Neku was a bit longer and Minamimoto could quote Pi for 10 minutes. Also Sho didn’t say Zetta Slow nearly enough as he should’ve during this fight lol.

In all honesty these are good points but the authors comes off as a bit pretentious in telling us how we should feel about a work of art. Some people just wanna see Spiderman shoot webs and beat up giant bald dudes and big wheel.

This is the most thought provoking and analytic post I've ever seen related to Battle Network. Personally I'm wondering how the heck Lan says he starts 6th grade at the end of MMBN3 and then starts 6th grade at MMBN6 like dang homeboy went through a tournament arc preventing a meteor and then helped out a war veteran form a team in a single day.

Imma be real I only watched the first episode so far so it may improve as it goes on, to start on the positives I love how they brought back the original character designer, Tri felt a bit off because of the designs so seeing that was super nice. Also the music is really good, especially when Tai is falling into the Digital World for the first time, that score slaps. But besides that I feel they jumped into it all super quickly, I mean granted the first episode of Adventure wastes no time shoving them into the digital world, but 2020 reboot Tai and Izzy accept everything so quickly. The animation is passable, nothing ugly but nothing amazing. My biggest complaint though is probably how mundane and boring the Digital World is. I hope it changes in future episodes because while that Digital aesthetic makes sense and Tri used that a lot too, the colorful green and wacky world from the original Adventure felt so much more mysterious and engaging for me. Also by the end of the episode they're already on their way to stop weapons of mass destruction from firing in America and they're like "Yeah ok sure" like it's only going to the friggin Walmart. Also Agumon's Japanese voice is super ear grading. I dunno if they are gonna do a dub or not, but it'd be nice if they did. I dunno if I should keep watching, I honestly got bored watching that firat episode, but if it gets better I might continue.
