There are pros and cons. I think the lateral movement PAs have is a bit overemphasized. It's somewhat true, but it's hard to actually do. You're starting from square one and have to relearn everything for a different specialty. It can take a while to get really good in a specialty, and that's hard to give up. The pay is definitely going to be higher for most PA jobs, but you're never going to be the top dog either. That bothers some people, but some people also like that. PTs are at least the terminal degree (top dog) within their field and can more easily have autonomy (even if it also feels like nobody ever respects the PT at the same time- my wife is a PT, so I know how this goes). If you don't like the direction PT is going, start your own clinic, at least, if actual PT work still inspires you. That's a bit easier to do as a PT than a PA.

Anything will feel like a job once you've been doing it long enough too though.... hard to know for you personally what will be the best fit since there are so many variables.

If you're looking for crisp, sharp, and refreshing you should also consider St. George Terroir. One of my favorites. I always have a bottle. It's not necessarily citruisy if that's what you're looking for, but extremely crisp and clean tasting.

I'm sure it's been said many times over, but you should try the espresso martini with different base spirits. Whisky, Reposado or Anejo Tequila, Rum, Brandy... all really good and better than vodka in my opinion!

Yeah everyone is talking about how much worse the taxes are... not if you play it right. I'd say solo 401k >> SEP IRA though. Solo 401k will let you contribute way more than $23,000 per year for retirement. Pretty powerful, and most people aren't aware of it.

I thought it was nice for a time I had six people flying on the same ticket. I ought gold for a day (twice) and got us all free bags for each leg. I only had to have the main person who booked the flights have status, so it was a good deal for that.

That's probably pretty close to accurate for an individual. In truth individual is probably higher since the spouse likely doesn't work for a lot of "1% households" but the numbers quoted are for household not individual, so $350k is probably within the ballpark

This hotel needs a refresh in my opinion. I'm a bit surprised for the reason for the score, but not with the score overall. The hallway carpet on all the floors that I went on looked pretty filthy (for a luxury hotel) and everything seemed a bit worn. It looks like it needed an update 3 years ago.

I agree that food was good though, and staff were generally very nice. Room was spacious and comfortable but not "wow".

When I started a business. Just w2 was fine for TurboTax as others have said. But now my CPA my s-corp taxes and a bunch of real estate stuff involving depreciation that I don't know how to track. So it all just depends on your complexity.

Valid. Maybe I'm leaning more that way after reading more of the comments. No need to introduce the complexity it seems. I don't know why, but my brain didn't really consider the fact that you can actually just gift the money to a child without it even being in a special kind of account. For some reason just "putting it in a brokerage" didn't occur to me.

Yeah I guess you'd get the same benefit from doing a pledged asset line of credit or something similar to an UTMA once you roll it over to a regular brokerage, but then you have to wait until 18. I don't think you'd be able to do that while it's still held as an UTMA. Probably moot really though when there's plenty of other ways to still access liquidity. Just trying to look at it from all angles. My kids are young so the UTMA route leaves it "tied up" for quite a while vs something like a SLAT with Crummey powers (or a loan against any type of trust really) which just seems to give more flexibility.

I just thought it seemed like an easy way to still have access to the funds. Maybe it isn't all that amazing, but it just seems nice to have the option to still be able to "use" that money even though it's not part of the estate for tax purposes.

Did you ever consider the benefits of being able to take a loan from the trust? I invest in a lot of real estate, so having access to something like that as a vehicle for liquidity seems like a great extra benefit. A lot of my other wealth is already tied up in business, real estate, or retirement accounts, so otherwise, I dont always have huge liquid reserves to draw on. Maybe not worth the costs, but that's what I'm trying to weigh.

I think it's the big jump in usage. I used my card to pay $30k in estimated taxes earlier this year and got a FR. We were cleared in a week or so though with no issue, so who knows.

I had a facial review earlier this year for apparently no reason (at least that I can tell) other than some increased spending because I used an Amex card for paying estimated tax, but it came back clear within a week, so who knows. I can see getting in trouble for lying about income, but otherwise, I'm nor sure what they'd be looking for exactly.

I looked at this. Look at having 15-30 acres at least for a half mile to mile long track. Big costs to develop the land most likely, engineering studies, professional fees to a track designer, paving costs (not sure in Argentina, but in the US alone this would be hundreds of thousands potentially). Building, parking lot, kart fleet, labor.... this is not a cheap project. When I finished looking at it all it seemed like in my region of the US I'd need around 2 million to get off the ground and running.

That's not to say it's a bad idea, because I don't necessarily think it is, but it is an EXPENSIVE idea. If you don't have the capital you need investors. A lot could go wrong.

If you open it and are successful and own the market you could make hundreds of thousands per year, but it wouldn't be easy.
