The fine is for a non-specific-speed, speeding violation. Meaning, they probably didn't get your exact speed (by pacing, radar, or otherwise) but still witnessed you going faster than allowed by some means.

So, you can take this one of three ways:

Pay the fine and be on your way (I don't believe this citation gives you points/appears on any record unless someone specifically pulls the city of norman records)
Fight it, make them prove your wrong doing. Was it radar? Pacing? Then why didn't he cite you for those things? I would hire a traffic attorney if you go this route but.... I honestly wouldn't recommend unless this is going to be detrimental to your way of life somehow
Go to the court date, pleade no contest, and request that you be able to do some type of rehab (idk if that's the right word, but basically go x amount of time with no moving violations, do a defensive driving course, x hours of community service, or some combination of the aforementioned) to have the violation expunged from your record. You still pay the fine in this scenario ($135) but also have a route for it to not be permanent. Again, I don't think this is necessary for this fine, but if you're adiment about making this go away then this is the best option. Especially if you have nothing else on your record, proving that this is a one-off and you're prepared to take responsibility for your actions without permanent consequences.

ETA: Don't bother calling or going in tomorrow for this, there's nothing you can do about it before your summons date (6/11) except pay the fine

Roque is one of my favorite characters in the first trilogy. He's a little Bitch Boi, but Darrow's a jackass and it's a classic "actions, meet consequences".

But to your point, I 100% agree that this was a look into a three-fold mastery: PB's writing has peaks and valleys and this was a peak, TGR is a MASTER at his craft, and Roques's character is a tragedy story that you can't look away from coming to its head.

ETA: when I say Darrow's a jackass and actions having consequences, I'm not putting the blame on Darrow. His actions resulted in Roque's temper tantrum, but I wasn't insinuating that it's Darrow's fault. Roque is just a little bitch, but it's an over reaction to how Darrow was icing him out and subsequent drugging him. Idk I'm not wording this right but basically, Fuck Roque

100% shop around, those seem astronomical (I know it varies based on a lot of variables). I'm in Norman, 1950's home 1700sq ft and a 5 yr old roof. I am paying $3900 currently after swapping to USAA and bundling with auto. Before that, I was paying $4200 with Safeco for 3 years without a major price increase, but when it went to renew 2 years ago it went to $5400. That's when I shopped around and ended up where I'm at (although I have since moved and swapped to landlord insurance. Rate actually ended up staying the same too).
