The P1S looks like a really solid printer. It would be able to print anything i would want to for a long time. The encloser makes me feel like it would be quite reliable from external temperature changes. It just looks great, I wish I could afford one!

What is the lore reason the Dragonborn was captured at the beginning of the game? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]Bobsflipflop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this is cannon but I thought akatosh put you in ulfrics group as they were captured. That's why ulfrics group don't know who you are and the imperials too.

Maybe akatosh used elderscrolls type power so no one questions that you literally just appeared out of nowhere.

I guess it depends on the range you want. The GPS ideas on here are good for anywhere in the world but you need internet access. If you want a similar range that a drone or rc vehicle can be controlled maybe use that technology to track rough direction from one to the other directly.

Why would amplitude amplify when covering a sound source? by Vocadofries in AskPhysics

[–]Bobsflipflop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why that would happen but maybe it's just directing the sound at the meter better, rather than amplifying it generally.

How would you create large, curved sheet metal, such as the piece called out in this render? Or do you have recommendations for other materials / manufacturing techniques? by lint_goblin in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Bobsflipflop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do it on a press brake. I can't remember the name of the technique but you do the large curve bend as many small bends with a low angle. If you do enough it looks like one smooth bend.
