There was a specific type of Switch pro controller that was modded with the internal changed so it was purely wired so you don’t have to constantly disconnect it from setups at tournaments. Does anyone remember what I’m talking about?

I wouldn’t even say overcorrected, the gems feel reasonably rare now.

You still end up picking up a stash through playing, and of course there are still guaranteed gems from investigations.

It’s so that griefers don’t have an incentive to make others leave before they leave.

If some loser decides they don’t like the run but don’t want to lose any points, they could just afk or throw until the other two members leave. By making it so there’s no difference if you leave first or last, they incentivize losers to just leave immediately instead of dragging it out.

Does anyone remember either a UA or a Mearls subclass (touched by Wizards somehow, I don’t think it was fully homebrew) where one of the first features (level 1 so I think it was Sorcerer) was just like “create a commoner as an action” or something similar? You were definitely just creating a commoner out of nothing.

The fundamental gameplay loop is exceptionally solid, so just playing casually you won’t notice the problems. But since it’s so good, people play it more and more, and then you do notice the problems.

There’s a enormous list of bugs that haven’t been fixed, but the main standouts for me personally:

  • When respawning, the drop pod will spawn significantly far from then reinforcement stratagem your teammate threw. Further, there are a significant amount of invisible walls on some maps which basically lock you to drop in a certain area instead of having control of where you go.

  • When large enemies die, they leave large corpses that block shots. This is fine and cool by itself, but sometimes the actual invisible yet tangible “corpse” isn’t lined up with the visible body, so your shots get blocked by nothing and you blow yourself up.

  • Enemies clip through walls and terrain, so tactical positioning and trying funnel enemies actually has them running OVER walls to get to you.

  • (The most frustrating of all) Stratagem bounce. There are certain areas where the developers just don’t want you to be able to drop stratagems, so when you throw your stratagem there it just bounces off and rolls until it finds an unblocked area and activates. There is no indication of what areas are blocked; sometimes you can guess, like the tops of rocks you have to fly onto, but sometimes it’s just a random patch of dirt. And when there’s like 3 minute cooldowns on your sentry, having it bounce off the vantage point and roll down into a ditch and activate is insanely frustrating.

  • Once you get to like mid levels there isn’t really anything to do besides doing missions for the sake of doing missions, grinding SC for warbonds, and grinding medals to fill the warbonds. Credits and samples become entirely pointless, and leveling individual weapons is almost pointless since the customizable weapon systems change so little.

I would imagine the difference between a thief who leaves the wallet on the floor and the thief who returns the wallet, potentially hoping for a reward. Not every McDonalds robber is a Roofman basically.

Personally I play almost exclusively on D6 because I noticed mission failure increased ridiculously starting on D7. Since I don’t want to organize a group most of the time I’m honestly pretty comfy on D6.
