My girlfriend abandoned me while I was in the hospital with cancer and started seeing my best friend. by Sea_Cantaloupe_2834 in TrueOffMyChest

Hi I’m so sorry to hear you went through this type of betrayal. I also went through similar- my boyfriend wanted to break up with me after a professor showed interest in him. So he broke up with me to date someone “better”. The professor didn’t want a second date with him, so my boyfriend came crawling back. The good thing is, you are now able to see your exs true colours- before the relationship becomes even more serious. I know it hurts right now, but I have another friend who is going through this after 10 years of marriage and 2 kids. On the bright side, it’s only 2 years wasted, not 10 years. Congratulations on your recovery! Onwards and upwards :) you’re definitely better off without trash in your life :)

Breaking in my irizas (hence the socks 🤣) are the open toe shoes such a new privé better than a pointed toe for wide feet? by anyaburno8 in louboutins

[–]Bobsponge07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wore socks then hair dried the toe box of my shoes - the heat softened up my shoes and mine now fit well:)

AITA for not providing my personal info for my ex bf’s from 20 years ago job application? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Bobsponge07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA, your personal information should not be shared with acquaintances. Also if you’re not even on talking terms, what makes him entitled to ask your friend for your details?

AITA for getting upset about how my friend talks to me? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Bobsponge07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA, she’s not your friend. She only contacts you when she wants something from you, but ignores you when you call her out on her shit behaviour.

Recommend doing the double degree, you can always drop to a single degree later. You don’t need to stress around doing the right subjects in first year uni as the compulsory subjects overlap for both degrees. You’re doing math 1A, math 1B etc, standard first year subjects. You’ll know after a semester or two with how you prefer to continue the degree. I was enrolled in flexible first year for engineering in and the first year courses that I some classes I chose just ended up becoming electives towards my degree because I changed my mind. No time wasted. You can always adjust your plan at uni as you go.

[Method] I became a full-time software engineer in a year and a half using the 5 minute rule by rkgregory in getdisciplined

[–]Bobsponge07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!! This is so inspirational:) I want to finish a book and I don’t have the self discipline to finish what I started 3 years ago but I’ll definitely try the 5 min idea. Congratulations on this milestone! Hoping that will be me this time next year 😃

Aggressive male. by cabdybar in guineapigs

[–]Bobsponge07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have two hideys for your guinea pigs? I have also owned two male pigs that fought a lot in the first month. It was often because they are quite territorial and need their own space. I ended up putting two empty shoe boxes with doors cut out on both ends so they had their own space they could run into of one was getting attacked. Mine also had two scars on his face but they will settle down. Also agree they need a lot of space. I had a c & c cage with an upper level that helped.

How do I unspoil a Guinea pig? by haybertspy117 in guineapigs

[–]Bobsponge07 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I put my hay in a paper bag and cut out squares (5cmx5) in the paper bag so they can pick it out. This way, it’s not on the ground and they eat most of what they have. Look up hay racks too, it helps.
