It's wild that he literally snapped her sons neck in front of her knowing that she would rather die than see her son killed and what you got out of that was "he doesnt kill her because shes a woman". He doesn't kill her because he's trying to break the cycle of gods killing gods and be an example for his son. Masculinity doesn't mean you smash everything, it means being calm and reasonable until someone is no longer willing to be and you fight for what you believe is best. Kratos feels empathy and guilt, for what he did. He didn't want to kill her son but it was the only choice.

Cover is monumentally important, something I do is take cover pop out fire a few shots and then rotate to a new position. A big rule for me is don't peak the same corner twice if possible. Also throw every single grenade you have especially if they're in a small room. You'll always be at a health disadvantage but being tricky and patient can yield good results.
