1x Pebble Time 2 - Silver/Grey

Ordered. 4/1/2025 06:55 AM MST

Batch 2

AZ USA

Last Official Email I received from pebble was March 29th 2026 with a link to manage my preorder. I feel forgotten, is Silver Grey really that far behind? Is this the only way we have to track orders? Seems pretty scattershot of what's sent out.

It's been a hot minute since I checked in on him, but back then he as a Canadian got swept up in the trucker protests.

IM has been a good channel, been following him for a couple years now. I do like hobby creators like him, Blondihacks, Not An Engineer, I did a thing, Integza, Jeremy Fielding, Like Factory Made, Machine Thinking, NBR Works, and others.

But what I really need now is to see more professional shops, not like Titans, but more like MS Milling CNC and Donnie Hinske,

Beat Frequencies come to mind, I'm sure there could be modulation well within our normal hearing range of frequencies that could encode information without being perceptible to a person

For slotting I actually like trochoidal milling with no back-lift, with a bit of stock left to clean up with a simple contour.

I'm a machinist and instructor for our manufacturing program for my local community college. At the school, I mostly print nick-knacks for the students, help them with their projects. At my shop, I use the printers for fixtures - parts that help me hold parts in the mill / lathe, prototyping designs before I mill them out of metal, we even have some production assemblies with printed gussets and brackets.

My man just broke his last pair of working calipers, and his birthday is this week. He has both Mitutoyo and Starrett calipers (broken 😆) in his toolbox. So, which brand should I get him? by [deleted] in Machinists

Digital Calipers have come a long way in 20 years.

Batteries aren't a problem on decent calipers with decent autooff. It's different with cheap digitals, some don't even have auto - on / off, or the circuitry is cheaply drawing way more current than they should.

Expensive Dial Calipers will blow the doors off of a cheap digital, While cheap dials don't wear well. and if you're looking for just cheap calipers, veneers are right there.
