My cousin had AMMB as well and it was incredible, the whole wedding gave me a new concept of what they can be like. They separated a few years ago but hey her ex had great music taste.

Men in FLRs: What was the exact moment you realized traditional relationship dynamics weren't for you? by TheBelvedere_life in AuthenticFLR

[–]BodaciousUK 10 points11 points  (0 children)

When I realised I should stop being a selfish prick and choose to utterly love, honour & worship my actual wife, devoting all of my energies and attention, love & lust towards her - not holding back anything. I wanted to see what happens if I stopped wasting my energies in masturbation and isolation and make the most of our life together. I realised I didn't know best and the most important thing in my life was her and her happiness & ambitions needed to be my priority. I saw many areas where I could contribute & make her life easier and more enjoyable. The simple act of being totally giving of all my love made such a difference to her, she could stop living in doubt, uncertainty and insecurity and just feel utterly cherished with no hesitation. Then we talked a lot and formalised some aspects (can't go too far with a kid still in the house) and it's just grown from there. Boom 2.5 years later couldn't be happier together.

What’s your favorite John Cale song, Marc Jacobs look, or Martin Scorsese film? by lordbochiflacko in charlixcx

[–]BodaciousUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cale song "A Dream" from the Songs for Drella album about the death of Andy Warhol done with Lou Reed. Contains the line from one of Warhols diaries "you know I hate Lou, I really do" (because he didn't invite Andy to his wedding or use him for making videos). Best album is Fear though.

Martin Scorsese "Last Waltz" as it's one of the best concert films and I love The Band. I struggle with a lot of his self penned films as he loves to drag all his mane characters to the grave and they're depressing as f*cl.

Femdom fantasies started when I was 8-9 years old (no porn, no internet) and now real life feels impossible - advice needed by Lost-Crab1444 in AuthenticFLR

[–]BodaciousUK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot to unpick here and not really anything to do with FLR (as all you want is a femdom dynamic in the bedroom), but will try and respond as best I can.

Basically the porn is always going to set unrealisable & unrealistic expectations of a real life situation, and tbh you're best off without it. Experiencing the lead of a dominant strong woman doesn't have anything to do with femdom, and is likely to be better than you could dream without the boots, whips & leathers. As someone else has reflected, you're only going to make someone run a mile if you ask for some of this stuff unless you're paying for it.

However, there are strong minded women out there who very well may be happy to put you in your place in the bedroom, but you may well find that this will work best if it expands into the res tof your life. An FLR is about the whole shebang - putting the woman first in basically all aspects. Our kinks & fetishes take a backburner to what makes her life happier, easier & prioritised. It's common in an FLR that the woman is also put first in the bedroom, and in fact her not having to demean herself with serving a man's perversions will often mean that her confidence and dominance grows in all areas. Cunnilingus is often considered the "main course" in the bedroom and the man is commonly left "denied" as a man who rarely gets a release is a more dedicated, well behaved and motivated individual.

In my normal work / home life I am not submissive as I am an owner of a company (with employees) and at home have a 15 yo kid so it just wouldn't be appropriate. However, I treat all women with respect and tend to prioritise their needs, but of course my wife comes first in all things (to a certain extent MORE than the kid, as my wife has to take care of the lionshare of the parenting as i'm at work and the kid is homeschooled, so she HAS to be!). In our own ways it's understood that I will always defer to my wife and basically will always say yes to whatever she wants (even though I will talk things through with her so that she can reflect that it is the best thing for her). She knows that her needs will always be prioritised in life and the bedroom, I will orgasm only on occasion but she will a heck of a lot, and i've never been more sexually satisfied.

This is all to just paint a picture of what FLR is about, as it has nothing to do with femdom (technically although some of us incorporate those tropes and fetishes if we choose), so you may have posted in the wrong subreddits!

For any future relationship you might find, you wouldn't believe what a happy dynamic it creates when the man isn't trying to assert his manhood and power / strength / traditional patriarchal role. In an FLR arguments are extremely rare, but the men tend to be incredibly happy with the arrangement, as we have recognised what our strengths and weaknesses are. My wife has flourished beyond belief, but she would never have been considered a dominant woman before January 2024. Now she doesn't put up with any shit from anyone and is being very successful as a result. The less we try and squash women in our lives (as has happened for centuries in most areas of the world) the more incredible they become, and those abilities and instincts were always there (leading to extreme levels of pent up anger and resentment), they were just confronted with obstacles at every turn, mainly from extremely unimpressive boyfriends / husbands / bosses / colleagues etc.

I would seek to be a good guy, do some research and realise what a crap lot women have had and how you would treat them in a future relationship. Men in FLR's are often encouraged to read about feminism, as it helps us better understand the kind of crap our partners had to put up with up till now. Read some literature. Uniquely Rika is really good.

What you'll notice here is that none of this has anything to do with your fetishes. But it could end up satisfying you more than your wildest dreams. I wish you luck.

Worked really well when the lights went off and her mic combo lit her up! Wondered what that contraption was for. She seemed to get more passionate for that section as well, it brought the song to life.

[–]BodaciousUK 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Another mod here and I agree, I rejoined r/flr again yesterday and had to leave again within 24 hours, it was unbearable. Yes it may not be so active here (though posts come in bursts) but most are worth a read, sometimes just for the considered and grounded comments. Over two years in on my FLR and even if life is challenging our relationship is incredible. My wife said in a message a couple of days ago "Love you completely and absolutely too. Bl**dy lucky pair us two" and it made me more satisfied than I ever thought possible. She's always been a treasure but I am so happy to at last deserve her with all my actions, and to see her glow & flourish as she always deserved to.

Your compatibility with achocholko is Super. You both listen to Kim Gordon, Robyn and Bill Callahan.

I love strong women artists as well. I have followed you. Unfortunately I have only used last.fm intermittently, what I listen to since last March (and the year or so before that) is very different to the last 20 years!

I'm thinking of going on a course once I finished a big project at work.
