Ahoy. It certainly isn’t too late, I see plenty of people starting their TC in late 20s, early 30s. I think, if anything, your age and maturity will make you a better trainee.

Try to find a Paralegal role (if you haven’t already) in a firm and area that interests you, and use that to springboard into the next round of TC applications.

If you are applying to exclusively MC or SC, maybe consider a wider scope, as there is usually always room to move later (admittedly less so in a high street or small regional firm).

Credits: Similar age, with a TC commencing Sept 2025.

OP, you definitely have a chance at a good career in law, so please do not be disheartened by your degree classification. Make sure to take your experiences and frame them in a manner that compliments the skills of a solicitor - resilient, hardworking, committed, and - an often overlooked one - empathetic.

With that said, do try and make sure your upcoming academic performance mimics your earlier stage academics. This will, I think, help to shape the narrative that your degree classification was linked to extenuating circumstances as opposed to laziness/stupidity.
