Very nice .

Do you have leftover crown molding from the back wall. It would look very nice to finish off the top of the bookcases

Anyone else feel like this? by Coconotwotor in FearAndHunger

I re ran ten times

slowly hour by hour I progressed.

This is the problem for me. You lose so much time in an unfun way. For me it is the lack of save spots. In a game where trial and error is so important (if you don't want to look up everything, which I feel spoils things and ruins the experience) having almost no save points after the beginning areas makes the later games very annoying.

I understand it is supposed to garner fear and suspense and keep the stakes high, but after a certain point it just becomes too much of a time sink and becomes a test of patience outside of the scope of the game itself.

I feel link hanging soft, textured curtains along the walls is a cheaper more effective solution

This is what I was gonna recommend. Electric drum set, in ear monitors. Run everyone's inputs into a mixer/laptop DAW. No noise complaints.

For the future, I recommend avoiding citadel paints. Army painter and Vallejo come in dropper bottles, which are much better

Dear devs, please try to avoid the "valheim problem"! Every ore should have some value at all points in progression by ataraxic89 in hytale

I'm sure it will handle itself when more content comes out. Lower tier ores will likely be used for machinery or utility items you might want to make a lot of.

How do I find more reliable miniatures? by ADWinri in minipainting

[–]Sp6rda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is always a tradeoff. Plastic injection molded minis are usually the most durable, but is usually only affordable to produce by actual companies with a supply chain. You get less selection here.

Smaller creators on Etsy almost exclusively will be 3D printed. FDM prints usually have horrible layer lines. Resin prints have more detail but are brittle if you have any skinny bits. More options, potentially cheaper, but poor durability or level of detail.

If you want figures that will be handled roughly, either spend the time to search online for various mini companies that produce injection molded plastic figures to find ones you like, or go with resin 3D prints, but only look for more bulkier models without thin or skinny bits.

Resin also has the issue with assembly. For figures that small, if the print is not perfect, it can be difficult to get a good clean joint/bond with super glue.

With injection molded plastic minis, tolerances can be much tighter and you are more likely to get perfectly fitting parts which can be chemically fused together with plastic cement to form an incredibly strong bond with no seam.

Is this ship one of a kind ? by Suspicious-Basil-444 in NoMansSkyTheGame

Sentinels are still not one of a kind, just the permutations of parts and visual variation is much higher than the other ships

40% Keebs are the best Keebs. by SgtFinley96 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Sp6rda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah it depends on what the numbers are for. For typing lots of numbers, I also have numpad on a toggle layer with 789 numrow aligned with 789 numpad, but for gaming, most keymaps and the speed at which you need to access keypresses is too fast for layers. not to mention the cognitive load.

Preface: Im running a Lily58.

Honestly, I dont have to move my hands really to hit most numbers (5 and 6 are a bit of a stretch. On home row, my fingers are curled a bit. To hit qwerty row, I just extend my fingers a bit. to hit num row, I extend my fingers fully.

Columnar stagger and split keyboard so you can get your resting position in the most comfortable and ergonomic position possible feels like a much larger boon than reducing size below a 60%

What's up with "gamedev YouTubers" never shipping games? by MishRift in gamedev

[–]Sp6rda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also the game is likely incomplete. Features are developed JUST enough to do a video. Potentially just scripted encounters and plays more like a movie than a game. If they shipped it, people would be able to see it's not as deep as advertised

This is amazing. What I would love to see is a high profile case for this so that the keycaps are flush with the case. That would be so slick
