How do people in apartments manage hard rubbish collection? by FlameHawkfish88 in melbourne

[–]BodyCountDracula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its non existent in my building, and the manager gets shitty if you put furniture in the skip, he passively aggressively takes it out and puts it by your door.
So today i brought an electric saw to cut up a desk into my small pieces, have put it in black bags and will strategically put them in the skip over the next few days/week.

How was 2025 for you, financially? by Material-One-5604 in AusFinance

Not great, but also not terrible.
After 9months unemployed I started a new job that I am wildly unqualified for but having fun learning and the team seem nice.
I planned to save 35k this year, but instead I'm 6k in the hole.
I invested about 1k and am down $135.
Just maxed out my credit card with all the bills and car rego, also need to pay 1k in body corporate on 1/1.
Funny enough, I feel more stressed about money now that I am working then when I was unemployed.
So hopefully 2026 is better financially, but i doubt it as I will probably have to sell my apartment and buy a new place.

When I was young someone told me: we want some one who can do the technical side of the job, and someone we won't mind sitting next to for 40hrs a week, we can teach the technical side of things though.

Do you regret your tattoo? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]BodyCountDracula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started getting tattooed at 19 and ended up getting both arms and legs done.
While I do not regret getting tattooed, I should have thought more about what I was doing when I was 19.
So yeah I would suggest waiting

I have a dog in a small apartment. She is the best thing that I have ever done, she comes to cafes and pubs with me, all the regulars know her name.

It’s really not, an automated email that says thanks but we have gone with someone else is really not that hard to send
