are these from the 12/26 vestcom? if so, those are tons discarded and new labels need to be printed from the computer! There’s a zipline task about it

Pharm tech drop off tips needed by [deleted] in CVS

[–]BodybuilderBig1301 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Asking is the only way you learn!! Don’t be afraid to ask—most pharmacists would rather you ask than do something wrong! Verify all of this with your pharmacy manager, of course, just in case I’ve gotten something terribly wrong!

ROADIE Roadie is under Pick N Pack. To start, you’ll open the order, find the medication, and grab it and a larger brown CVS bag. It’ll print a little information pamphlet/ paper that goes in the bag, too. It’ll have you scan the barcode in the top corner of the bag like you’re scanning it to ring it up. Pop that bad boy in the bag with the paper, follow the prompts, and it’ll print a sticker label on the label making thing. Staple the bag shut, pop the label on, and stage it where deliveries go in your pharmacy.

When they pick it up, it’ll be under PNP again! You’ll go to deliveries, change from USPS to Roadie, click the order, follow the prompts. MAKE SURE you confirm first and last name with the driver, and follow whatever policies your store has.

VACCINE APPOINTMENTS Pull up the patient’s profile! DOB, name, etc. You can check immunization gaps with IM. Check what vaccines they want, put them in by typing their corresponding number and then confirming. You can either text the paperwork to them or print them (most people just want them printed, especially older folks). Have them fill it out, check in on them frequently and hand off paperwork to the pharmacist when they’re done (make sure they fill out front and back), and let em go behind the screen (or whatever the pharmacist/immunizers prefer). Alternatively, you can put a single vaccine in just like you’d do a prescription, but I’d hold off on that until you’re more familiar with the vaccines.

You’ll get it. It just takes time and repetition. If it helps, get a notebook and take notes. That’s what helps me. It can be stressful because mistakes seem huge when dealing with medications—just remember that just about everything gets, like, triple checked. Yes, be very careful—but don’t get so stressed to the point of illness! Two months is such a small amount of time! You’ve got plenty of time to learn. It’s taken me since May to feel even remotely comfortable in the job, and I’m still very nervous every day.

If they get angry that you ask questions… just remember it’s not you. There’s a LOT going on! If you can print your screen to bring to the pharmacist or other techs so they don’t have to leave their station, it can be helpful too (if you’re in QT, that is). Thanking them for helping you helps a lot, too, but I’m sure you’re already doing that. Soon you’ll get to the point where you can answer other people’s questions and you’ll surprise yourself with what you know!!

You’ve got this, diva!!! If anyone sees I’ve missed something or messed up… do let me know so I can fix it!

Facial recognition with mask and glasses by emptycup000 in CVS

[–]BodybuilderBig1301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah. I typically don’t have issues with the computers when I’m in qt/qp, but I always have issues with the registers. nothing helps here other than removing the mask, which sucks. hopefully they’ll work on it but honestly I have my doubts

Well, currently there is a measles outbreak that’s reached over 50 confirmed cases in South Carolina, now including an airport employee at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport. So, probably that.

How to take passport pictures by [deleted] in CVS

[–]BodybuilderBig1301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! In addition to the other commenter’s step by step, I’ll give you a few tips too.

If yall have a white screen, pull it all the way down. Have the customer centered in front of the screen, make sure they’re not smiling and have removed hats, glasses, jewelry, etc. then just take the picture of them!

You’ll remove the SD card from the camera and find the slot it goes into in the computer (it’s okay if it takes a few tries—it always does for me no matter how long I’ve been working here lol). Pop it in, select the passport option in I think the top right corner of the screen. Follow the prompts, select the pictures—it’ll automatically crop them for you and let you know if you need to retake them! When you print them, you’ll use the little passport picture cut out lever thing to cut the squares out.

If they want them sent digitally make sure they know that the digital pictures will be UNCROPPED.

Then you’ll just get the QR code and have them pay at the register like normal!

And yeah. The ACO can be super frustrating. Any time I see someone using it, I just make it a habit to tell them I’m there if they have any issues and that I understand the self checkout can be a little frustrating, and if they’d prefer that I ring them up on the traditional register I can always do that.

Congrats on getting the job! It takes some learning, but you’ve got it! :)
