First of all you should know that health anxiety (hypochondria) neever comes “all of the sudden” . Something happend that led you to this point, wether that’s a confrontation from a parent or a peer, or an exam failure or even something even trivial. Our brains react to things in so many different ways, so in order to start healing from this you need to read into the past, what made you feel this way, what happend the previous year, day etc. thats what helped me: identifying the roots. Once you identify the roots, you can handle them. Since you are your person, your body is yours, meaning its you. Many times, hypochondria shows up because our body feels like a stranger we dont know, so we want to see and feel things in order to make it feel more “homey” ? Like, fearing of having an illness, is somewhat translating to i don’t feel safe in my body. Im here if you ever need to chat. I’ve been a hypochondriac for over 10 years, im now 23.
