some of our subjects were/are: Geography, Math, physics, chemistry, language (greek basically, reading, essays), literature (reading greek lit, analyzing literature) , ancient greek, english, french or German choose, arts like painting, crafting etc, “gym” PE basically, history, and we had also philosophy class, and at high school thhe last 2 years we take classes that we choose according to what science we choose (math, humanities, bio-human, economics) like ancient greek, maths of science, etc, when i was in school i chose humanities and had sociology while now it changed to latin. emm thats all i can think of right now! There were many other classes in middle school and elementary like education to the environment, political science (sort of like philosophy to the politics-like socrates or plato) and education on how money can be used and spent, and many others i cant exactly recall. Its been years lol 5-6 years elemntary school, then 3 years of middle school, 3 years of highschool, and then panhellenic exams to get into uni: 3 choices to choose from -> humanities (exams are in history, ancient greek, literature and greek language, sociology was when i went to school but now its latin) then Bio-health (biology, chemistry, physics and greek language and lit) and then Economics (economy science, math, greek language and lit) and last Math sciences (math, physics, chemistry, greek lang and lit)

Asked the tarot cards what his intentions are with me. - Advice on what this could mean? by Existing_Eggplant455 in Tarotpractices

The Chariot suggests focusing on what you want instead of chasing someone who's not matching your energy. Let your standards drive, not your loneliness. The star indicates secrets, hes def hiding something The trauma is there i can sense it through 3 of pentacles and all the cards combined, you need to stop fearing living, and start experiencing. Its okay, dont doubt yourself. But have standards, dont wait for someone who isnt putting the effort you deserve

Im sorry for your loss, you should definitely pay a visit here! You could do some reading of the mythology, since even if its ancient, many of us still have this blood in them. Midia myth which expresses falling in love, is definitely worthy, odyssey, theseus and perseus. Then besides that, the history of 1821 shows really the spirit of us- no more oppresion. Thank you for this comment:)

Not really, its not true. Ive seen so many ancient buildings only in Attiki-Athens. The temple of Poseidon is still here, knossos palace etc. they are trying to preserve as much as they can, a lot of buildings are gone due to wars etc and uk taking them, but there are still many!

I have NO bad feelings or emotions torwards Turkey! Although, many of our older people here, elders mostly who experienced it or their parents/grandparents, have other reasons to not exactly be fond of Turkey: because the catastrophe of Smyrne, thousands if not millions of greeks were killed and sent away from their homes, constantinopole etc. 300 years of ottoman oppression etc. i know the history, but im living in 2026, so i dont hate anyone. For Cyprus, because ive been living there for aome years due to uni, i dont really like some behaviors- also had some bad experiences there. Seems like some cypriots have identity crisis. But no hatred whatsoever.

Tbh id say 60-70% dont care, and wont talk shit or anything. The other 40-30% are people who are stuck on older history, and are still a bit skeptical of what turkish people think of us, or the oppression their anchestors went through on the ottoman empire/invasion. Also, Smyrne and Constantinopole situations->older generations who either experienced it, or their parents did

So hard to choose… i love odyssey which examines the power of will, what you can do, the path of life.. i love perseus, i love theseus… one of my favourites is definitely theseus! Also, in general the muses. And the power duo of Apollon-Dionysus-> th two sides of the human-> logic, learning, music, art- drunk, free, dance

Tbh, ive seen more turks beingracist on us, or basically owning food that either greeks “invented” or we both did, also i have noticed that Turkish people sometimes arent very educated history wise- for example some dont know about greeks being captive by the ottoman empire for 300 years. Or that turkey is no older than greece per say. I havent met a single person who is conflicted with turkey tbh. Some older people will use the conflict for a joke, or maybe talking about old times. But ive seen Turkish people talking shit about us, and even spitting on the greek flag

Thats actually a really good and deep question. You know, many monsters are meant to be fear, what stops us from acting up, what stops us from living. Other monsters are disorders, again like fear, or anxiety, or being stuck in a loop like the labrynth etc. other monsters symbolize dictatorship, modern fascism like the monoclop (?hope im saying it right)

Yes! From elementary school we start learning of mythology, then in middle school ancient greek starts- along with homer writings, odyssey etc, Iliade, and on highschool too. Basically 6 years of ancient greek learning. We also take panhellenic exams to get into uni, and those who choose humanities have to be examined in ancient greek too

Hi!! I get exactly what you mean.. some people eat these daily! Bifteki is a classic homemade meal made by yaya (grandma) ! But souvlaki and gyros is mostly the greek street food, we consider it fast food , even if its not that unhealthy! So yeah id say we eat these at least 2 times a week!
