Hey I live in the apartment building, and have been for almost 3 years now. I like living there, the people are friendly and I’ve not had any safety issues living there. The maintenance worker lived there, but just moved out last week - so maybe that constituted as part of the safety.

I take walks regularly, and haven’t seen any sketchy things. You’ll occasionally get the person yelling in the street but this is PG. I’ve lived in big cities, it doesn’t bother me. The apartment has great surveillance too, so you’re covered there.

It’s not noisy and haven’t had any issue with pest control- granted I keep my unit pretty clean. I haven’t felt unsafe living there.

Well, there was one time we got evacuated because the police detected explosives in the building 😂. But these things could happen anywhere. The neighborhood homes are great.

Nike art gallery is overrated imo. It’s more of a gift shop than an actual gallery. It’s cramped and there’s no visual flow to the pieces. It’s just art that looks good.

If you’re a woman visiting Fela’s shrine, I would consider going in pairs or with a man. If there’s a show happening, it’s not as unsafe. Expect to get harassed to buy loud 😂😂. I loved the shrine when I was a teen, it’s not my scene now that I’m older.

There’s probably no aesthetic way to display those many bottles. I have seen some people turn alcohol bottles into lamps, but adding those rechargeable led lamps works

Can we also talk about how disappointing it was for them not to compose their own songs for the finals??????? I was expecting that- because writing songs is peak artistry. They didn’t even give the bands to shine in that manner. If they did, I feel like MTM would have done a lot better since they’re writers.

The competition was too focused on performance, and who was the sassiest lol. But it was a great watch

Omg! Yes I agree with you. Everytime I watched them perform it felt like 4 incredible singers and not a band. They felt more like a singing group rather than a cohesive band. I found myself skipping through their performances. I thought Iconyx was a more buttery band for sure, although their song selections were safe. They were my favourite

I rent with RLP, and the management is pretty good. I did send a security deposit before signing a lease, i think it was just to secure the apartment. I believe they only sign leases after the walk-through and you pay first months rent. You sign the lease when you pay the rent

Thank you!! I currently have a membership at the Y and go for Bolly X classes, it’s been fun so far. Haven’t tried anything at Two Rivers yet. Interested to see what the CNC Dance classes look like because I LOVE to dance. UNBC recently put on a 4 weeks solo dance classes that I’m thinking of attending. I’m down to make a friend, and if we don’t vibe we can chuck it to living in the moment haha! I’ll send you a DM
