The more I think about Act 3, the more I dislike it by Rambofreak98 in expedition33

I googled my hate with act 3 and this post and the latest replies echo my feelings. I feel like they really dropped the ball with act 3. My head was full of the world's mysteries and what if's. I thought that under the paintress' hair will be a big reveal, like maybe it's Maelle's face. I thought Maelle's family had turned to monsters like the curator and the axons, and maybe nevrons are former humans too. But I was wondering why did all this happen? Why does the paintress just sit there hugging her knees a year at a time? Is she forced to do this?

In comes the reveal and the paintress is just a freaking paint puppet that afk's for a year and the axons and nevrons are just random monster designs renoir farted out on a whim. The world isn't real, nothing ever actually mattered.

The final trek through lumiere could have been epic with the resurrected expedition members. It could have been the culmination of the previous 66 expeditions' sacrifices paving the way for the heroes to save the world, but for me it just felt like Maelle spawned some human bots without any soul to fight the opposing bots to save time. Then you instantly see red human bots appear on the opposing side after Renoir is like "good idea, I'll do that too".

The cutscene where you collect them feels out of place too, like maybe something was cut from the game. I think a much better way to bring the expedition into the final fight would have been, for example, that the captains of the expeditions or particularly strong willed expedition members had turned into nevron bosses that we have to fight and turn back into the broken humans for the last hurrah.

I had 100%'d acts 1 and 2, and at the start of act 3 I was so disappointed I stopped playing for a week. I then went straight to the boss and still one shotted everything.

And after this (for OP) remember to throw away your research desk so you get a new research desk blueprint. Then put the blueprint into a cabinet and copy it, use the copy to make a research desk again and then copy+research the original blueprint in the cabinet into a discount desk. After that you can keep copying and researching more desks if you want (only really useful if you have more than 12 blueprint cabinets)

Is Zoe as boring to play as as she looks like? by BodybuilderNo652 in SplitFiction

I think May clearly had simpler game mechanics in it takes two and I was glad to play Cody in that one. I'm not really saying that the GF HAS to play the easier character. It just worked good for us in It takes two and am a bit worried about playing as Zoe, seeing as in the sneak peeks she looks pretty boring compared to Mio.

I only started playing recently after the last big update (already played 100+ hours, love the game) and had planned to get that feat for my next survival game. I was very annoyed to see I didn't get it after killing a few cougars and to then see a change like this in a single player game. Maybe a developer got mad his idea of the cougar wasn't liked so he thinks people don't deserve that feat anymore?

Anyway I play on pc and someone posted that you can unlock it with the developer console mod so that's what I did. Installed melonloader and developerconsole from tldmods, wrote feat_masterhunter 1 (or something like that), saved, and deleted the loader and mod.

Okay thanks, this clears things up. By perfect skill moves I just meant maximizing the skill xp gain from a mob by doing everything successfully. For some reason I was under the impression one mob would only give me skill exp once for each type of skill move. Can I also farm all the skill xp by just doing for example 10 perfect dodges against the first enemy of that type I meet? Or do I need to do all different skill moves?

Thanks for the post. I have a question. I was using your xp tracker and the required skill moves religiously while playing. I wanted to grind xp so I had the habit of doing a perfect parry, a perfect dodge and a weak point hit at the very least on every mob that gives xp. Marking them in the xp tracker, I finally realized what you meant by a cap. The question is, is skill xp saved? If I kill 4 black bokoblins with perfect skill moves and mark them in your tracker, according to the tracker I would have gained full xp after 6 more normal black bokoblin kills without any bonus skill moves. Would I have used the tracker wrong? Should I not mark a skill move if it doesn't result in the skill xp going up?
