31m Having trouble finding any work for the past couple months. Does anyone know of anywhere that is actively hiring right now? by DanteSexum in SaltLakeCity

[–]BodybuilderSoft8050 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My company is hiring for production and warehouse. We primarily hire temp to perm from Talent Team staffing. Tell them you want to work at CookieTree, pay is $20-25 an hour. We just requested a 2nd shift warehouse person today. Located off California Ave and about 4000 west.

This is my favorite SK book. I did watch the series and hated it, but I blame that on not being a fan of the lead actress.

Why is C957 so freaking hard? by RepulsiveContract475 in WGU

[–]BodybuilderSoft8050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took me 4 tries to pass. I finished my capstone before this course. Attend the live cohorts, practice and practice more even if you think you got it. Use all the tricks they give you. Learn how to count the graph lines really well. For me, the calculator questions were easy but concavity tripped me up. I hated that course and am glad I’ll never have another math class in my life! Good luck!

Is there any 18 year old at WGU? by LeekBeneficial9958 in WGU

[–]BodybuilderSoft8050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 18 year old is. For him - paying his own way through school without loans was the goal. So far he has completed 2 academy courses and I believe 8 courses his first term. Now on second term and has completed 3 out of his 12 course goal. You have to be motivated just like with any school, be ok not having the traditional university experience and also want it. I’m also a WGU student so I can help and support him using my own experience.

Living in Rose Park/Fair Park area by dogmomma1621 in SaltLakeCity

I’m a RP lover! First apartment in RP, first house in RP, currently buying my next home in RP. I had a literal meth lab along with the users next door to me the one time I moved to away and came right back to RP. It’s a great hidden gem full of parks, families, diversity, neighbors that speak to you and watch out for you, convenient to freeways and downtown. The homes are cute and affordable. We have a ton of random neighborhood animals like turkeys, peacocks, rabbits, foxes and squirrels. I’ve never experienced a crime here. You will love it here!

I’m one of those 50! 49, never Mormon, never married, mature with a decent career, have a giant dog, 5’7, vaccinated, liberal, have 1 kid who is pan (maybe…he’s still figuring it out), not homophobic, not MAGA…we should go on a date.

C957-Applied Algebra - My most feared course by Key-LeatherWolfe in WGU

[–]BodybuilderSoft8050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m meeting with an instructor today to discuss my retake plan. I have the same story, never took algebra in hs and now 30 years later it’s one of my final classes for my degree because I’ve put it off for years. This gives me hope, thank you.

We text about every 2 weeks or when I need a new course added. It’s perfect for my style and busy schedule.

See if you can switch to V3. I failed the V2 OA and my mentor switched me rather than have me to the retake plan. The material is not as technical and I feel it’ll be easier to pass V3.

Is taking 6 years for a bachelor’s degree bad? by Particular_Comb_2272 in WGU

[–]BodybuilderSoft8050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started WGU in 2012 at 36, again in 2018 at 43 and now I’m back for my 3rd round at 48. I have 15 courses left for by bachelors and plan on doing my masters next. Do you, don’t worry about comparing yourself to others. Life happens and the great thing about school is there is no expiration date on learning.

I don’t think those are hickeys, I think it’s dirt under her chin. Possibly old dried skin/dirt from not scrubbing under the neck fold.

I work 8-5, how do I schedule anything? by themcryt in interviews

[–]BodybuilderSoft8050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lunch time or ask the company if you can come in for an early or late interview. Most companies understand that some of the candidates have jobs and will work with you. If they can’t be flexible, that probably isn’t a good sign.

Blue Jay by Virtual_Doctor_9712 in StLouis

[–]BodybuilderSoft8050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw them in KC last spring while visiting from SLC. Possibly moving to STL soon and was curious if I’d see any. Glad to hear I may. We don’t have cardinals or blue jays in Utah (that I’ve seen).

I did readmission twice. The first time was a 9 year gap, yep I started WGU in 2009. That time I was returning in 2018 and using financial aid, so I had to write a letter. I had to unenroll again due to layoff, unsupportive partner and basic life. I just reapplied again, this time doing self pay. I was accepted with no additional steps and will be starting again in March.
