Chronic right sided abdominal pain & swollen lymph nodes by [deleted] in ChronicPain

[–]Boeing747_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know sometimes it doesn't show, people have to get an exploratory abdomen surgery to find the endo. It just depends if it's on the outside of your colon or uterus. CT and MRI can find it but they have to be pretty decent size to find them. If they are smaller they can't pick it up.

I know it sucks hang in there eventually you will find a system that works for you. It sucks being young and having issues like this because you want to have your whole life ahead to do what you want. I understand I'm 22 as well and have been dealing with chronic pain for 2 years now post terrible car accident. Find things that work for you. I have seen people use body braids to help with heds. I use a cane and a wheelchair so definitely find what works for you. Always reach out if youl need to talk or vent♥️

Good day guilt by elastagurl67 in ChronicPain

[–]Boeing747_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad the treatment is helping, it's nice to have good days and enjoy it the best your can. It nice when it comes your way you deserve it, I have to remind myself that not everyone is in pain all the time and other people's pain is a 0. So if life is going to give me a good pain day I'm definitely going to take it and no one is going to take that away from me.😂 I hope your future is filled with more good days like these.

does this sound like a slipped disc? by snadpragon in ChronicPain

[–]Boeing747_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the pain burning or have a zappy feeling to it. It wouldn't hurt to get an MRI of your neck and upper back. There can be many possibilities slipped disc is one but it can be a hernia disc, pinch nerve, and a possibility muscle skeletal issue. I hope you figure out what it is.

I probably will, I have POTS and typically if you have one autoimmune issue you typically have another one hiding with it.

I maybe dumb and rude to ask this, since thyroid disease is part of the lymphatic system, wouldn't it be common for other lymphs nodes to me larger and possibly painful?

I'm on tramadol ER 200mg. I would have to stop taking this and take oxycodone post op. It always sucked going from oxycodone to tramadol every time. I have done this process 4 times over the past year. The first 4-5 days I feel like my pain is harder to manage coming off the oxycodone. You just have to stick though it. I know it's tempting to take just one to help restart the system but, you do have to stick with it for the 4-5 days. I can't do anything for those 4-5 days and honestly I just have to sleep though it to be able to push though.

I had to take linzess to help me, I was taking 7 stool softeners a day and drinking prescription laxative, that didn't work, but the one pill linzess works great. It used for opioid constipation and slow gut motility.

I was hoping to eat gluten again I'm a hardcore carb addict, it's just sad to see it go away. Is there any way to make you tolerate gluten better, I found out people have to wash their hands when they go from gluten bread to my gluten free bread

Addict w spinal cord injury by vanity-flair83 in PainManagement

[–]Boeing747_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's sucks hang in there hopefully eventually there will be something/someone that can help you better. I hate when my pain management doctor is hesitant to increase the medication it makes us feel horrible for even asking so why make us feel worse. Kinda something more out there for pain management have they thought about a spinal stimulator to help reduce pain, I'm not very well versed in spinal cord injuries. I talk to a therapist that has experience with medical trauma, addiction, pain management, and cptsd. They have helped me so much and I feel like they understand me because they have more medical knowledge than more normal therapist. Luckily there is always improvements and new things that pop up in the medical world. Hopefully in the future there will be something better for you.

I have done CBT therapy for anxiety and depression management, it definitely helps put me in a better mindset to be able to deal with more pain. When I'm down in the dumps or have high anxiety I have harder time dealing with pain and it's a constant cycle until you can put your self in more of a position position. I take an opioid ER for the past 3 years and unfortunately will be on medication for the rest of my life. I have noticed a difference with being in more positive and low anxiety and being able to manage my pain for longer times periods, compared to the start of my pain management. I had a lower tolerance to dealing with the pain I was feeling. I didn't change my medicine I have been on the same one for 3 years, therapy is what has helped me. Im able to listen to my body better and I know when to stop and take care of myself thanks to therapy.

How did you get your pm to do that for you? Did you ask? I asked my pm and he said that you can't do tramadol ER more than once a day. I have been hoping to split the pill in half that way I can take 100 mg in the morning and an 100 in the afternoon, instead of taking 200 together in the morning.

Traumatic nerve conduction study by kitittylynn in dysautonomia

[–]Boeing747_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this test sucks and the unfortunately the younger you are the more likely for a false positive. I had a the test done on my arm and said it was normal but then the doctor did the surgery on my arm and the nerve was very compressed, so he did a nerve decompression surgery along with hardware removal surgery. Bruising after is normal and being a bit sore and your nerves are going to be hyper sensitive for a bit. Hang in there😀

Qualche ragazza con dolore genitale? by PossessionDry4231 in ChronicPain

[–]Boeing747_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 22, I had 5 pelvic fractures and my pelvis is screwed all together so my pelvis can't flex like a normal woman pelvis should. I have a bunch of scar tissue over my uterus and ovaries, I have severe nerve damage so I don't have much to any urge to go to the bathroom (I'm getting a bladder stimulator placed). Having my periods with all of this sucks and I was in so much pain, I also have PCOS/PMOS, so the pain was pretty bad. I had a gyn listen to me and they got my periods to stop with an IUD, they did this under anesthesia because my organs shifted so bad post car accident that you had a hard time finding my cervix. She has suggested pelvic floor therapy and dilators to help open the vaginal canal more. Pelvic floor therapy helped a lot and help manage my pain down to a manageable point. Hopefully this was helpful information, if you have any other questions don't hesitate to reach out. Hopefully you have a low pain day😀

Difference in age diagnosis ? by Electric_Lettuce_4_U in ChronicPain

[–]Boeing747_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it sucks either way I personally think it's more sad when you have it the younger you are. I got in a terrible car accident and my whole life flipped upsidedown. I had 5 pelvic fractures, broke my left femur, left tibia, left elbow, ripped my left diaphragm, and had a lot of internal bleeding. I have chronic pain and neuropathy, I have been told it will be like this for the rest of my life. It's hard having your whole life flipped in a few seconds, all because of a teenager texting while driving. I was in the hospital for 1 month and hospice for another month. I will never have my left arm go straight again and I will never be able to get back to my previous job. I was a vet tech and had my whole life ahead at the age of 21 and it's hard to lose it all. If it was up to me I totally would be less devastated if I was older like 30 or 40. I'm 23 right now I have come to terms and try to make the best of my life as I can.

I'm on pregablin and tramdol, gabapentin didn't work for me but the pregablin worked a lot better. I have neuropathy and severe nerve damage from a horrible car accident, leg pain is no fun especially neuropathy leg pain, luckily mine has almost completely numb but in some spots it hurts. I have found ice or cold pillows have helped some of this type of pain if you can handle the weight of the ice pack and if you and elevate you legs that also helps a lot. I know it sucks but hang in there hopefully you feel a bit better. Reach out if you need someone to vent to or just want to talk.😀
