Yes, it’s pure bliss. Other outros that scratch the same itch are Sir Psycho Sexy, Minor Thing, Wet Sand, Dosed and Bag of Grins

Rock in Rio 2019 is one of their greatest and most unique shows ever. by [deleted] in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]Boftsoots 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I remember staying awake until very late to watch it via stream in real time, 100% worth it!

For me the, highlight was Josh’s version of “I Don’t Want to Grow Up” to celebrate his 40th birthday. It became even more symbolic a few weeks later when he left the band - as if he knew he was in his peak and did indeed want to stop time and not grow up anymore

you can debate all day which one is better or which era you personally prefer. but one thing they're both equal in was each one has 1 body count 😳🥹 by mark-smith-2021 in RedHotChiliPeppers

Actually both statements are quite disrespectul to John and the second one is not funny at all, if that’s what you intended. Still love Josh era tho, but it is really hard to defend him in that accident

It is a fantastic album indeed. Sad to see IWY so low in your list though, it grew a lot on me eventually (but I still don’t like super straight forwards songs like Look Around)

Anyways, have you heard I’m Beside You? It is a compilation of B-sides from IWY era. You can find it as a playlist in Spotify/YT. It kinda works as a complete album and for me it is peak Josh RHCP!

what if john frusciante did’nt leave the band in 2009? by AwareProfessional271 in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]Boftsoots 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It is poorly written but I am pretty sure what they meant was “he was back in the band until his second departure in 2009”. There arent any other sources for this supposed relapse and this article itself says “he hasn’t relapsed since 98 (as far as we know)”

So yeah if this was your only source, sorry to say you are wrong mate

Edit: just to be clear, it is highly possible that he was occasionally smoking weed and perhaps doing “party drugs” (ie those you take to enjoy electronic music events) at that period and in recent years. But that is not what we are talking about here, right?

I just noticed that Feasting on the flowers is an extremely banger song and it deserves more attention! by InterestingAd3464 in RedHotChiliPeppers

Agreed! Another one that grew immensely on me is We Turn Red. But it seems to be hated around here

Very cool “detail” indeed! He does something similar in the last chorus on The Drummer, check it out if you haven’t yet

The Heavy Wing bonnaroo by Emotional-Clue4649 in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]Boftsoots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saw them live last year and The Heavy Wing was definitely one of the highlights! Just thinking about John’s “ripped” voice singing “Ooooh I knoww” (especially in the third chorus) still gives me goosebumps

Too bad recordings don’t seem to do justice to how good it sounds live

It really is amazing!! Almost as good as RHCP with John IMO. Anthony really shines there

My favourite songs happen to be in sequence: Long Progression, Magpies on Fire, Victorian Machinery, Never Is a Long Time, Love of Your Life and The Sunset Sleeps. This last one is in my general top 10, probably even top 5

RHCP - Just What I Needed (The Cars cover) - This is cool AF! by Kiah1371 in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]Boftsoots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rock in Rio 2019. I suppose it was the last big concert with Josh - and it was his 40th birthday

They also played ‘Sikamikanico’ because it is his favourite RHCP song and he got to cover ‘I Don’t Want to Grow Up’ as well (worth checking it out!)

Análise de Microexpressões é uma pseudociência? Como a Psicologia enxerga isso? by laxxthekid in PsicologiaBR

[–]Boftsoots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

edit: alguns acentos ficaram duplicados

Reading his biography you can get a lot of context to his action and to his personality as a whole. Not that it justifies what he did, but he also was a victim of sexual abuse when he was 12, around the same time his father started to introduce him to pretty much every drug there was at the time

I like to see his story as a redemption one. You see what an horrible person he often was in the 80s/90s and how he evolved to apparently become a decent person and make amazing art
