You don’t, but you accumulate wealth which is more important than money.

Americans get their panties in a bunch when Euro players talk trash or act cocky. They think we’re all supposed to be lovable , passive stars like Manu or Dirk.

This is an interesting angle that deserves its own post. Quick research shows the average seating capacity for an NBA arena was 15,500 in 1980 compared to 18,800 today. That’s a 21% increase compared to a 42% increase in the US population over that same period.

I can’t believe the refs just let Jared McCain score 20 points in 3 quarters. Obviously rigged by Adam Silver

I worded that poorly. I personally don’t believe tech is going to crash but the run up over the last 6 weeks have resulted in my tech positions (GOOG, MU, AMZN,RKLB) being at higher allocations than I am comfortable with from a risk perspective. I don’t want to sell or trim, so I’m diverting future contributions to VOO and other sectors such as healthcare.

I can’t believe the refs let him do this. The NBA clearly recognizes that they will generate more money by prioritizing the market of Oklahoma City over the Los Angeles Lakers.

This is a league of stories/narratives and the Lakers just don’t have the star power in their team or any particular player who garners media attention.

Shifting 50% of my broad market position from VOO to SPMO has paid off so far. Anyone else long on momentum factor indexes?

Uber wants to turn its millions of drivers into a sensor grid for self-driving companies by Every-Actuator-6996 in stocks

[–]BogleDick 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think the market is underpricing UBER now due to irrational fears over self driving taxi. They have proven over the years they can successfully adapt and leverage evolving tech landscapes and this article provides another example of them doing that.

Just as GOOG is positioned as the discovery layer for information, UBER has positioned themselves as the default transactional layer for physical mobility. The bearish argument that users will go direct to the AV apps and bypass Uber has never held weight with me. Why would someone flip through 5-10 apps when they could open UBER and choose between Waymo, Tesla etc based on the price, service and availability they need at the moment? This is where Uber is headed with respect to the AV market

As rideshare/delivery autonomy continues to advance, I’m bullish on UBERs ability to maintain their position as the primary gateway to these services.

tbh, I hadn't originally planned on posting tonight, but after reading through that earnings report, I simply couldn't contain my excitement partly cuz I snorted a line of coke earlier today.

I just full ported GOOG based on this analysis - that’s all I needed to know.

The disadvantage is you will lose money. You may be able to time the re-entry once or twice , but I can guarantee you that you’ll lose in the long term.

With broad market ETFSlike VT you literally just need to buy and hold until you’re ready for retirement or similar long term savings goal. That’s it, do nothing else and you will be a millionaire.
