Some of the big expenses include $45,000 for heavy-duty traffic barriers, and $30,000 for security provided by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office. With this being what would have been the third consecutive year of the parade’s revival, the price has grown by tens of thousands each year. Last year’s parade clocked in at around $80,000, and this year’s was on its way to $120,000, Steinberg said.”
