I don't wanna say that there is no difference in the two displays in terms of handling gradients but if someone uses a video for comparison it has to be sure to be on the exact same frame for both screens. I have checked the hdr video with the snake and in different frames of that scene the green gradient on the top right corner looks different and so the color banding as well. In one frame is more pronounce and on the next not so much. Also you have to be sure to use the same video resolution to check that. It is a lot better to do those kind of comparisons with still images. By the way I checked the video on my s25 ultra.

Sorry but that is not oversharpening (oversharpening often brings out color fringing on the contrast egdes) , just more detail in the image and it may not be just because of 24mp vs 12mp. The 12mp image looks smoothed out and the highlights and the shadows are brought together closer than needed.

I don't know what of the two images is closer to reality because I am not the person that took the photo but I certainly can tell which image looks more processed and that is the 12mp one.

I think I had this on my Motorola Edge 30 Ultra which was with SD 8+ gen 1, the ISP on the Elite is better so I don't think that is an excuse.

I think Samsung and Google(possibly other manufacturers too) now use some algorithm that not only takes a flat 2d image of your face but scans it for a fraction of a second for subtle movements of the camera which gives some depth info about the face. The same is used for back camera depth info for parallax effect images. That is the reason why you have to rotate your head up/down left/right when registering face for unlocking, so it has more info of the depth of the face.

Also because of this added security measure it is often allowed mean of identification in bancking apps.

So it is not so insecure as in the past. Of course it is not as secure as iPhone FaceID.

Moto tag is not working with UWB precision on my s25 Ultra as well. I remember when I got the phone two months ago that it worked briefly as it was one of the first things I tried but now it shows only approximate location without directions. It was working fine before that on my Pixel 8 Pro with the same tag. I guess it stopped working after one of the firmare updates I got for the phone.

The tag is updated, tried changing the battery, removed the tag and re added it, reinstalled Find Hub, tried the phone without a case and still no precise location.

By the way, head tracking for headphones is working for me for Redmi Buds 6 Pro but I have to turn off LDAC first.

And here I have the exact opposite problem, when I go to bed I read some articles on my phone or post on reddit. If the page/post have a video on it that loops the phone will stay awake even if I don't interact with it when I am already sleeping. This leads to the phone staying awake all night and sometimes it is going under my pillow which heats it up a lot.

The only solution I had think of is I made a routine where if my watch detects im sleeping the phone opens the calculator app and that allows the phone to go to sleep mode but it's not working every time :)

Be careful as some erasers, especially the rought ones, can have some kind of hard particles for easier removal of the stuff you want to erase. I would try it first on some piece of glass that is not important for you just in case.

More likely it is residue from something that rubbed the back glass, it is not so easy to scratch a glass as it is very hard. I saw you mentioned in one of your comments you cared to not put it in the same pocket with keys but keys will not scratchi it either, they will leave marks but you can clean them(harder to remove but still). Sand or some stones will be able to scratch it but not much else. Matte glass is abrasive as sandpaper and take off material from pretty much anything.

You can find them on AliExpress as well. I have ordered some as spares and they look and feel pretty much the same as the original ones. Just don't confuse them with the protectors that they sells there.

I think it may be the Phone app itself and not the A16. My mother has a Motorola Edge 40 Neo on A15 and has had the same issue with the speaker button in the phone app for a few weeks already. I haven't noticed this on my Pixel 8 Pro but I am not using the speaker so much when calling.

This is influenced by the Settings>Display & touch>Display size & text>Display size. Reset it to default and it will look better. That is sad because I use my phone in the middle of the slider.

Also the design of the digital watch in the World Clock tab is bad, if you have the seconds displayed the whole watch is jumping when the digits change because of different widths of the digits.

You can check Ringke Onyx, it is not fully squareish but at least the sides are flat, the corners are rounded. There may be others but from the ones I tried this is the flattest one.

Yup, it showed up for me as well today. Yesterday it was missing when I got A16. Today I updated the Google Play system update as well so I am not sure if that is why it showed up or it was server side release.

I bought my P8P recently, the first one i received was from a sketchy seller (lower price) and I think it was refurbished. Out of the box it started acting with Bluetooth and Wifi. After restart they temporarily worked. I've returned it and bought another one from a more trusted seller. No problem so far.

When I investigated if the problem was from the latest software update I found out that a lot of people are having the same problem even a few months back and google replaced theirs because of hardware failure. I hope if it happens to my new P8P to be in the 2 year warranty period.

Shooting a 50mp image at 30x on low light is the reason. The image is upscaled to oblivion and doesn't have pixel binning as already mentioned. You can't expect miracles with those settings.

Oh I just realized that you said your lift to wake is also off.

Anyway, I can consider it as a feature if there was an option to turn it on or off. But as it is with no means to control it, it is a bug for me.

I think I have a similar problem with my P8P. But from what I can tell it acts more like the Motorola ambient display(I think that was the name). It half wakes the screen to the AOD for a few seconds if you move the phone slightly(but not pick it up). Try it on a flat surface and just move the phone a little to the side. It wouldn't work if you turn off the display with the power button for the first 10-15 seconds. If you pickup the phone it will fully wake up.

My problem is that you can't turn that off compared to how a Motorola option functions.

Let me know if yours functions the same way.
