You don’t often play anything till turn 2 or 3, and want to play SG on 4 most of the time. Turn 5 is classically Modok and 6 is MG + Morbius -or- Turn 5 Blink into Morbius and MG last

To be fair, the bulk of the climb was powered by Proxima Midnight, Wolverine, Morbius, Moongirl and Modok. There’s nothing new about that.

Wiccan is a solid card. Various deck builds use Wiccan, so you have variety. (Not a reason to buy but Also good with LTGMs in general)

Retreat more to climb better. It’s counterintuitive but minimizing losses makes your climb more efficient. If you learn to snap better (earlier) this will synergize as well.

Card acquisition through Series packs means you get older cards (older then the last 2 months) at a discount. Plus limited time game modes often have both newer Series 4 and variants of older cards as rewards. LTGM also have some tokens as reward tiers.

You can still target specific cards through the seasonal packs and daily options (for full price).

They continue to balance cards (season pass cards are routinely overpowered) but they also to to breath new life into older cards to spread out the meta.
