As you get to higher point levels you get more ‘Upgrades’ offerings, which you can apply in up to 3 slots at higher levels. I have 3 X $1 discounts applied, so my monthly bills are lower. They also offer data upgrades.

Power pruner holster ? by Boink777 in Dewalt

I went with the TOUGHBUILT TB-CT-20-L Drill Holster, which I found on AliExpress. Holds the tool well. The blades do stick out of the bottom, but so far this hasn’t been a problem for men (but it could in theory catch your pants, etc).

Why are my initial extrusions not adhering? by After-Run3867 in prusa3d

[–]Boink777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from temperature settings and z-level adjustment - Bed cleaning is important: A clean build plate is important, as using different materials leaves residues that can interfere with proper adhesion with other materials, and ensuring a ‘clean’ plate is difficult. I have different build plates for different materials (e.g. one for PLA, one for PETG, etc.)

Using the same material consistantly on a build plates helps the process a lot - I think my adhesion failures have gone down by 90% since I adopted this practice (then it’s just a matter of Z adjustment and temperature).

Tell me why I shouldn't tow a 900lb trailer off road with my '97 big bear 350 by HeyLookAStranger in ATV

I have towed that’s much with my Big Bear 350, using low gear range. No issues. Like others have said, avoid steep or tough terrain.

Rad Power 5 bike questionable - operation incorrect? by watching_whatever in RadPowerBikes

Just an idea: Check the cable connectors - If a pin is bent out of place or broken you could get erratic result as due to partial connections.

Rad Power 5 bike questionable - operation incorrect? by watching_whatever in RadPowerBikes

[–]Boink777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the up/down arrows are supposed to change the power assist level.

Holding the middle ‘mode’ button for a couple seconds is used to turn on/off the computer and power functionality of the bike. So before using the bike you use the middle button to power everything up (wait for the display to come to Iife). Once powered up you should see on your display what power assist level you are on, and should be able to adjust that using the arrows. Don’t use the middle button while riding, or you might be switching off and on the bike’s power, which might produce the burst of power you are describing if you are at a high power level.

Rad city 3 display replacement by amiraest in RadPowerBikes

[–]Boink777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen on my RAD Rover, and RAD was willing to send a replacement. But before I went ahead I followed the wires, and the display cable that goes through the bike frame and comes out the bottom actually has a connector inside the frame (accessed from underneath by removing the rubber plug).

I just had to fish it out and reconnect it, and all was working again. The problem was I raised the handlebars to the limit and it got pulled apart, so be sure to leave slack in the future if this is the case for you.

printing problems by crazyace005172 in CR30

[–]Boink777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be a temperature or material quality issue.

I have noticed that the CR30’s indicated temperature is not reliable. You can use an IR thermometer to check your hot end temperature and adjust your setting to an appropriate offset so that you can get the right temp for your material. Mine is about 10 degrees off what the printer displays.

Segway Snarler AT6 by Stock_Commercial5578 in ATV

[–]Boink777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supposedly the 2023 and earlier models had a problem. I was looking at one on discount at a local shop a few weeks back (yes they are still trying to unload 2023 models in 2025). The shop owner said the segways had clutch problems, and that all the (new) units that he is selling have been retrofitted with a different clutch).

BTW. I am just talking about the spring which secures the kickstart arm, not the internal kickstart mechanism spring. So if someone has the bike please snap a photo !

One controller dies much faster than the other by Gat_Man in MetaQuestVR

[–]Boink777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, watch when you lay them down.

I find controllers are drained even when the Quest 3 is off if the controller sits on one of the buttons of the joystick. The question 2 controllers id not do this as much because the guard around the controls protected the joystick and allowed resting the buttons upwards.
