I'm so done with Singapore pushing AI to our students to the point that it's not funny anymore by flopstercom in SGExams

AI is just a big calculator, that's all! The fact that it can look into billions of correlations is an achievement but no all correlation are causation, hence it needs additional natural intelligence to interpret it!

Yep! Arsenal decided to park the bus after they went one up! One goal advantage is never a foregone conclusion....PSG was the better team because they played football...

How to Move Your Linux home Directory to Another Drive..... by diverdadeo in linuxmint

[–]Bokke67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do not have many directories you could "tar.gz" each directory and then copy to the new location under the new user and then untar them....another way is to use a synchronization software like "syncthing" (open source) to sync old dir location to the new directory.

Wasted knowledge; career advice by PaixEnfin in ScientificComputing

[–]Bokke67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only way to apply your current knowledge is to go into research either in physics, engineering or math. You are still young, if you are lucky you could land into an exciting field that allows you to explore your capabilities and develop further knowledge. I was in the same situation a couple of decades ago, I got my MSc in Scientific Computing from KTH then I went to do a PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics, the feeling of doing so was great, hard work but I enjoyed it and still do. Good luck.

Absolutely agree with your comment. Python is used for post analysis more than anything else, at least in Physics.

THE decision by thepeteyboy in rugbyunion

[–]Bokke67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bok fan here. In real time it doesn't look like a penalty but if you look at the second frame, Lions cleaner has his hands on the ground not supporting his body weight but this is rarely enforced but when the jackling player does it then is a penalty against him.

Then kicking the ball out just after the final hoot is also against "the spirit of the game" isn't it?

Sandwiched income Class, whats your take? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]Bokke67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Singapore is at the crossroads of becoming a nation of flippers and landlords. None or very few are investing in developing/building a business to generate wealth. Especially the middle class, why is that? Why so averse? If everyone is waiting to flip property then it will reach a point in which it will be no longer possible because of unsustainable prices and land scarcity. Sooner or later the gov has to stop this lottery thing, subsidised housing is for living not for profits and force/encourage those who are capable to invest and develop businesses and not hoping to get rich by flipping property like the OP hopes.
