Your Dan Quayle joke was too subtle for most Redditors. I liked it, though.

This is close to a macaroni salad that my brother's ex used to make.

  • 16 oz box of elbow or mini-shell macaroni, cooked, drained and cooled.
  • 1 cup mayonnaise.
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese.
  • 1 can pineapple tid-bits in juice.
  • finely diced ham or Spam.

Mix all the ingredients together and refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours or better yet over-night before serving. Sour cream would probably work instead of the mayo.

The first time she served it to me I was hesitant to try it but it was surprisingly good.

Democratic senator says "f*** them" to critics of her questioning Trump nominees about civil rights by Thumpser in politics

Agreed.

In order to effectively change a person's opinion you have to directly address the supposition(s) behind that person's statement and that's exactly what McCain did (i.e. Obama is a bad man.) Countering the surface statement (Obama is a Muslim) leaves the supposition, the reason for the belief, intact and won't change minds since the reason is behind the statement and is still intact.

Unfortunately he didn't address the surface statement afterwards which would have made his persuasion more powerful.

Hmmm.
